章 192: Issue #33
(Well, several people wanted the chapter not to end on a cliffhanger... so)
"I'm sorry. What are all of you doing in here?" Scott asked everyone that was sitting in the headmasters' office. Besides him and Ororo, there was also Quentin, Wade, Kitty, Emma, Rogue, Jean, and Logan.
"I'm afraid to go back to my room alone," Quentin said honestly. He knew that he had agreed way too fast and without thinking about the consequences. Now that he had time to cool down, he remembered that Jack was one of the few teachers that didn't mind raising his hands to a student, especially Quentin himself.
"I'm here cause I read ahead in the chapter," Wade replied
"I heard that you stole Jack's student and can't wait to see how that turns out," Kitty replied
"Same," Emma and Rogue said at the same time while Emma was trying to style Rogue's hair
"Haha. I'm just here to watch you get your shit rocked, Slim," Logan laughed as he thought about what was going to happen to Scott
"I'm here to make sure he doesn't hurt you too badly, Scott. Cause we all know how this is going to end," Jean said, flipping through her magazine
Scott scoffed at all of their reactions. They were acting as if Jack was the Bogeyman.
'Plus, he must know some propriety. He wouldn't just attack the person who pays his sala... shit! He's on Emma's payroll. And I'm sure he wouldn't mind taking the current team under him and just teaching them without having to worry about being the guidance counselor. He doesn't give 2 fucks about me being the headmaster. What have I gotten myself into?'
Scott was thinking about how to solve this situation peacefully when he heard a knocking sound. Everyone in the room turned their eyes toward the door.
Ororo finally looked up from her desk and looked at the door. She then turned to Scott who was looking at her with a pleaded gaze. The African woman smirked at him before saying the words that sealed his fate.
"It's open. Come in."
Jack walked into the room and was all smiles. He looked at everyone in the room and nodded in greeting toward each of them. When he looked at Quentin and Scott, they both felt chill's down their spines but Jack didn't say anything to them. Instead, he walked to Ororo's desk.
"You've heard?" Jack confirmed with Ororo
"I've heard," Ororo smiled at Jack, happy that something interesting was happening. "No bloodshed, please."
Jack nodded. And then he disappeared.
Jack teleported in front of Quentin and gripped his entire head, lifting him off the couch. Logan and Scott were about to rush over and stop Jack but walls of ice appeared in front of each of them. When they were focused on that, their legs were frozen.
"Surprised Pikachu Face!" Deadpool shouted from his seat
"I don't like those that disrespect me or betray me but especially those that do both. But since you are still a kid, I will go easy on you.
First, I'm taking away your secondary mutation. You may have earned it but I still gave it to you at the end of the day.
Second, you aren't one of my people anymore. No matter what happens to you in the future, you deal with it on your own. I'm no longer going to watch over you.
Finally, I'm turning you into a eunuch. From now on, that thing down there is only good for is pissing."
Jack used his telepathy and title to do exactly that. Technically, Quentin had done nothing wrong. There was nothing that he could truly be faulted with. But it didn't mean that Jack would just let it slide.
If he let Quentin get away with disrespecting him as he did, then that means other people will think it is ok too. Not just the students or staff at the school. Influential people that would have a serious impact on his future plans.
Once he was done with Quentin, Jack teleported over to Scott that had just gotten one of his legs out of the ice. He was about to get the other when Jack appeared in front of him.
Removing his glasses, Scott fired a powerful optic beam at Jack but the latter was able to block it with his bare hand. Jack's hand instantly covered Scott's eyes, covering them and stopping any random beams from firing around the room.
"I told you that the kids were off-limits. You decided to do what you do best: get yourself in a bad situation. So here's what's going to happen to you:
First, I quit.
Second, I'm taking so many of your people with me. I wanted for mutants to be as united as they could be until that time but you just make that too difficult. So the Future Foundation shall be the new leading school for mutant minors.
Finally, you're gonna only be pissing out of your dick from now on, just like Quentin."
Jack threw Scott towards Jean and nodded towards the woman. He then sent out a telepathic message to the entire school.
{Cyclops and I have had a disagreement. Because of this disagreement, I am leaving the school and creating my own. Anyone interested in coming with me, have your bags packed. We leave next Sunday.}
Jack did not say directly what Scott had done or why there was a disagreement because he needed to save face for Scott. The man had his uses and would be useful in the future.
Jack's message sent waves across the school. Everyone was curious about what happened between the pair. Both the students and staff were already picking sides.
Unknown to Scott, he started the Schism that would go down in mutant history.
Back in the office, Jack walked toward Ororo and stood in front of her desk.
"Emma is busy with her work, I am also busy with my other work. We are in need of a Headmistress. Are you interested?"
Jack already knew how everyone else in the room would decide. Emma and Rogue were on his side while Jean and Logan were on Scott's. Wade didn't matter and Kitty was still in her final year so she wouldn't be a part of the staff anyway.
Rogue was lacking in experience and couldn't run a school herself but he planned to have Rogue join his new team of heroes as one of the leaders.
Emma was too busy with the Hellfire Club and Frost International. He had already been trying to convince the woman to step down from teaching so she would have more time on her plate but she had refused. The woman loved teaching which meant she was wearing 3 hats already.
That meant that he had to recruit another headmaster. And there was no one better than the one he liked the most out of the 3 he worked under.
Ororo looked at Jack's outstretched hand before taking it in hers.
"Fine. But I expect the pay to be 20 percent higher than I got it here."
"No problem," Jack replied, laughing at her joke but also seriously planning to give her a 50% pay raise
