The front door slammed shut as Sam brought the last box into my new apartment. Despite having loads of work to do in the shop, he had insisted on helping me himself. Although, I seriously wished he hadn’t.

I had managed to spend as little time as humanly possible in Sam’s company; thankfully, it had not been difficult. Between Sam’s vice president duties and the workshop, he had been otherwise preoccupied. Until today...

“Where do you want this?” Sam questions, poking his head around my bedroom door.

“What is it?” I ask, not bothering to look up from the books I had been unpacking.

“Books with half-naked men on the front.”

“I’ll take that!” I say a little too quickly. Sam ignored my outstretched hand, selecting one of the books and flipping it over. “Lola, is this porn?”

Faster than lighting, I launched myself at the box before my brother could dive deeper. “No, it’s erotica,” I blush, snatching the book out of Sam’s grasp.
