~Tatsumi POV~
So then were all inside the world of Avatar the Legends of Korra huh?
Now that equalist thing makes more sense. Sadly though I wasn't really a fan except after the first one may be bits and pieces of her story.
Aang on the other hand was way more entertaining and serious when it needed to be. Here though… Korra is blander as she gets and more useless as well. Like seriously though how the hell did she fuck up losing her past reincarnations?
Or more so the fact that she's completely ignorant in Political matters as well?
I can't tell if the world worked like that or not but hey at least I won't have to worry much about that. Glancing around I see the other chat members are taking as much as I would expect being this world.
Awe and confusion since this is new territory here.
Maybe I should limit myself with going some Alchemy this time and my body strength to better limit my damage to everyone. I don't know if they could handle it.
That was when Kaina went towards a civilian as she asked kindly as they looked weary at her as she spoke to them, "Hello miss can you tell us what exactly is this place? Were all new here can we ask for your time?"
The two looked at each other before they nodded their heads as we all sigh out loud at least to get an answer from where we are at. The two citizens were very nice to explain to us about the place which is called the Downtown.
The bustling center of the city, downtown is reminiscent of all the different elemental bending traditions in both its architecture and its population. In downtown Republic City, tall, well-crafted buildings line the cobblestone streets, and a railroad track sits elevated above the roadway, offering transportation to those wishing to explore the city.
This sector is representative of a cultural melting pot of shops and stands featuring goods from all three nations.
It is the political, economic, and cultural center of Republic City, protected by a massive police presence operating from their headquarters and airships.
Despite this security, downtown suffers from organized crime as much as the remainder of Republic City. The Triple Threat Triad, the largest bending triad of the whole city, claims the downtown area as their turf and runs protection rackets throughout it.
That was when Saeko asked in a curious tone being more respectful to them as she spoke to them, "I see. In that case… can you explain to us what is this The Triple Threat Triad exactly? They don't exactly sound kind?"
At this, they scoffed agreeing to Saeko's words as I caught on to that. Their emotions I checked using my [Observation Haki] as they explain to us who they are. They were very angry at them for a reason it seems.
The Triple Threat Triad, also known as the Triple Threats, is the oldest and largest of the triads that operate in Republic City. The gang primarily consists of water-benders, earth-benders, and fire-benders, as opposed to the other single-element-focused gangs, though the Triple Threats.
The triad was traditionally headquartered at the back of a restaurant near Central City Station. Downtown Republic City is considered to be their turf, though all of the city's triads are constantly involved in various territorial wars.
Members of the Triple Threats, such as Shady Shin, are known to solicit recruits at Central City Station. The mobsters use their bending abilities to run a protection racket on the citizens of Republic City.
The Triple Threat Triad is based upon an autocratic leadership since the boss of the triad has complete control over all actions of the gang.
It is also known that some members of the triad are special recruiters, whose main task is to find suitable conscripts within the Triple Threat turf, particularly young and strong benders. Since the Triple Threat Triad is a multi-bending organization, what element a potential member is capable of bending is relatively unimportant. The recruiters operate alone, as they normally do not have to fear being attacked.
The mobsters who run the protection rackets around the city usually operate in teams of three: One water-bender, one earth-bender, and one fire-bender. In this way they can maximize the advantages their multi-bending brings with it. Some members also work as thugs to protect the headquarters.
In times of need, such as during turf wars with other triads, the Triple Threats also hire non-members as security detail.
The Triple Threat Triad had established a permanent headquarters in a large building located in downtown Republic City which was masked as a restaurant. According to them, the front of the building is almost always heavily guarded by thugs. So basically these guys are pretty much acting like pests.
Ruby glances at them as she frowns at this as she began to speak out loud how bad it was for the people living Downtown of Republic City, "How unfortunate. Tell me how come the people or police can't do much about this group of bullies."
"Now ain't that rude darling."
Hearing that the two left as soon enough as a guy came out and asked out some question for cliché sake I spoke to him, "Quick question mister? You don't happen to be second of command of this group of yours?"
A humorous chuckle escaped the man's lips as two more of his men began to guard him as he spoke out loud to me like I was joking, "Hahahaha! You got it brat! I'm known as Viper. This here is Two Toed Ping and Mushi my best of men. As Lightning Bolt Zolt's second-in-command of our Gang. Must be shaking in your boots kids. We were going after Mr. Chung you were talking to but hearing someone dissing our names though. Tch. Tch."
An arrogant and devious man, Viper, along with Two Toed Ping and Mushi, ran a protection racket in the downtown area of Republic City before becoming a crime boss. Interesting… I'm sensing something useful here…
Without even taking his hands out of his pockets, the fire-bender effortlessly smacks the object out of the vendor's hands from the shop ahead of us as with a half-moon spinning fire kick, reducing the object in question to a burning pile of rubbish.
Smirking a bit I began to question this guy as I tried to talk to this Viper guy as the Kaina, Ruby, and Saeko saw this nodding at my actions, "Not bad fire-bender. But just burning some things doesn't make you threatening but… do you happen to know where your boss lightning bolt the gay at?"
That was when Viper looks at me surprised but then sarcastically shaking his head then makes the money sign with his right hand as he spoke, "Talking such foul words about the boss. My friend here is not a fan of disrespecting the boss. But we can look this over if you give me the money, or else –"
At that moment though we were interrupted thanks to the fucking Avatar Korra ruining this moment as she spoke interrupting the gangster, "Or else what, hoodlum? You aren't going to threaten these citizens."
Korra reveal standing confidently behind them, her hands on her hips as the three gangsters, who eye each questioningly for a second before bursting out in laughter with Viper speaking sarcastically, "Since you're fresh off the boat, let me explain a couple of things. You're in Triple Threat Triad territory, and we're about to put you, in the hospital. But not before we deal with these brats here."
Korra voices over her, anger at the gangsters as she looks confidently as she smashes her right fist in her left palm, "You're the only ones who are gonna need a hospital and, for your sake, I hope there's one nearby. Don't worry you guys I got it."
Raising my eyebrow at this I can't tell which is better really. To let her fight and I copy it down using the [Eyes of the Lord] or I deal with this problem myself. Wait we require money since we can't get it here the normal way.
Raising my voice to her I interrupted her as I spoke out my voice as I prepare my fighting stand using my Alchemy this time, "Sorry miss. Don't take this the wrong way but these nice gentlemen are going to lead me to their boss kindly. IF they don't they better wish they change their minds."
Viper looks at me threatening as Korra looks at me in confusion as he whispers threateningly that I can hear, "Who do you think you are?"
Smirking at him I was going to have some fun with this world.
Good thing I sent Juvia back with Mavis for a bit since I don't want her to be stuck on time plus she's taking care of Mavis till I pick her up learning ancient magic from Mavis. She agreed since Juvia can cook for her and gave her my Jewels for her to get.
But since we are on a time crunch though better to make this quick.
*SWOOSH*
*Bam*
*Bam*
*Bam*
*Swoosh*
Taking the moment to hit the chins of all three two of his guards were knocked out cold completely surprised as their eyes began to roll back of their head but I limited myself on Viper hitting him on the head to make him knock his fighting will as I grab him on the neck.
Viper has a small trail of blood flowing from his mouth as he spoke now with fear inside his voice as he spoke, "Y-you what are you…? No bender can be that fast!"
Let's see how should I go about this… well… I might as well get it straight as I began to reply to him in an honest tone, "Oh nothing much. I'm just you're everyday Imperial Countryman coming out of the Empire before. Came here for sightseeing but your boss though… I'm wondering how much will he pay us for bullying him for cash and our stay. Of course, you will guide us but if you don't…"
My eyes shined brightly as my tyrant eye expressed itself fully only quietly enough for Viper to understand where he stands, "Well… I have two other of your men to give me the results. I don't really need you for the info. And ending your life is simpler but if you-"
That was when he caved in as he spoke to me quietly mumbling his answer, "Fine…. Fine… just spare my life and my men… I'll take you to the da Zolt…"
Good man.
At least getting a home here has been secured. I guess becoming a Bandit King is becoming a thing now.
Who knew bullying gang members is this easy?
