章 7: Sith lord
In the New Republic Senate, they are still arguing how to tackle the first order. Suddenly the news came in the middle of it. The Republic fleet has been destroyed near the unknown region. Everybody starts arguing, they start pushing for war.
Leia Skywalker Organa Solo, or known as Princess Leia was against the War from the beginning. She is one of the biggest supporters of creating peace in the galaxy. Some of the senates who supported the peace movement are also the fact they didn't know much of the unknown of the galaxy while also didn't know how to navigate the area.
A servant then walks toward Leia, whispering the news. She stands up quickly and rushes to her room. In her room, she spots none other than her brother Luke Skywalker. She hugs him and smiles at him knowing that he is well. She then asks about her son, "how is Ben?"
"He becoming a great Jedi" Luke says
"I hope so, cause after what he been true.." Leia says looking down
"Don't worry, he is a Solo, but also a Skywalker" he tries to ensure her.
"Yet, he still could not accept his name" Leia says
"Give him time, for now. I have to tell you something."
After Luke told her what he knew from Luke. It is surprising, she then tells him about what happened in the unknown region. The specific didn't reach the senate yet but Leia heard that the battle is the solar system of Ahch-to.
Luke stands in shock, "I have to get back to my temple" he rushes toward the door but as it's open. Kylo Ren is there greeting them, "it has been a while former Master of mine" Luke tries to hold off his emotion asking Kylo, "why are you here?"
He replies, "I am the representative of the first order after all"
"I don't think you will have any voice in the senate after what you have done, after the death star, Jakku and now Ahch-to. More of the senate wants to rebuke your trade deal, replace the president and wage war against you. So why have you come here?" Leia ask
"Because you are the spearhead of the peace faction in the senate," Kylo says while walking toward her desk. Luke eazly walks near him.
" Relax former master, if I want to hurt your sister I have done so already," Kylo says calmly.
"You still not answer my question, why have you come here?" Leia ask
"Cause we all know that the one who just destroys the entire fleet of your navy isn't the first order, is it?" Kylo turns and points at his old master.
"He knows what I'm talking about… are you not? Master?" He walks close toward Luke near his face "is that fear I feel in you? Just like the time you fear your vision? Is it your vision again? No.. it's more .. your afraid.. of losing her.. what's her name again? It's in the tip of my tongue"
Luke look at him tries to control his emotion, "say her name, and I.."
".. what? Kill me? No, you can't cause you need me, cause you now also afraid of the yuuzhan vong." He looks closely at his master's face.
"ENOUGH!!" Leia says "I'm too old for this, so you know about the Yuuzhan Vong."
Kylo smirk and walks to Leia dask,"not me"
"Who?" Leia ask
Meanwhile in Kylo ship
Rose hugs BB-8 because the trooper tries to take it away from her. "Don't get too attached with him, Rose" Poe says jokingly.
"How dare you, his your co-pilot" Rose says to him
"Hey I can't do anything and besides he could just let us out from the outside if he been taking away" Poe leans back at the wall while Rose do the same across the room.
BB-8 then make a sound
"What do you mean this jail cell is too advanced is it because it's all laser? You're just making excuse, this even not a jail cells" he rolls his eyes.
"Don't be so rude to him, if he says he can't, he can't." Rose hug BB-8 even tighter.
"Ugh.. you two" Finn sigh outside
"Hey you don't have to stand there if you don't want to hear us," Poe says toward Finn
"Well I have to, the Jendral order me to, besides my shift probably be over soon," Finn notices a few troopers is heading down his way, "ah~ finally," he says.
"Are you FN-2187" one of the troopers asks
" is my shift over already?" Finn ask
"No, you and the prisoner have to come with me," says the troopers
Both Poe and Rose look at each other confused as Finn does.
At the same time in Leia Office
"So who is it?" Ask Leia
Someone getting in with a mask and a robe. The mask only covers her face as she walks in. Luke fist his left hand as the person came in and opened the mask. Showing the person behind the mask is none other than the Darth Khan herself, the empress of the first order.
"Darth Khan…" Luke says the name in hatred. "Long time no see master Jedi" she says giggling while sitting on one of the chairs facing Luke. Luke himself sits on a chair across from her while Leia is in the middle.
"Long time indeed" Luke says
"Yeah~ when was the last time we saw each other?" She teases him again and again
"Don't remind me, realizing that you are the lady of the sith is my biggest mistake" Luke looked at Kylo Ren who stood behind her.
"Well thought a Jedi as you will easily notice" she laughed
"Luke stop it!" Leia says to him
"So what do you know about this.. yuuzhan vong? Darth Khan?" Leia ask her
"Empress Irzi'yla'Alani, you may call me Empress Ziyla if you want to, Princess" she looks at Leia
"That will do.." Leia says before Luke cut her off, " you can't be serious about trusting her?"
"Unlike previous sith, I made a new rule for sith adding what Darth Bane Master and apprentice, one must use his or her emotion at the right time. You decide between when to use logic and emotion." She says smiling
"Doubt that the Darkside always brings rage and hate with them," Luke says to her.
"Luke!! Enough already.. you better go, let me handle this one. She won't just kill me" she looks at Luke and Luke walks up to her kissing her forehead "be safe, may the Force be with you"
Luke walks off the room and leaves the Senate for good to see his padawan and youngling as he worries about what Kylo has done to them.
Empress ziyla continues, "the Chiss called them the Gryzk, it is a nomadic species it says but we fear that's not true. Because we believe that they are culture and from what we have known they have been referenced in particular such things."
"I thought the one who attack us named the Yuuzhan vong" Leia ask
"You were right, but unlike the Gryzk which one could negotiate. The Yuuzhan Vong is nomadic there and there. They are a warrior-like society more or less like the Grysk yet they are more brutal. Even though they have similar technology they are not as good as the people they try to copies" she said
"You mean the Grysk?" Leia leans forward interested and rests her head on top of her hands.
"Both of them have been watching you, both of them plan on attacking this galaxy. Both of them is racing to take control of the galaxy and the Yuuzhan vong is already on your doorstep" Ziyla leans back and rests her head on top of her hand smiling "so what would it be.."
"You're proposing to unite all the galaxy against a common enemy" Leia looks at Ziyla who is smiling.
A few moments after the meeting, in the senate hearing, Senator Organa announce the news. Leia new make the senate shook, she then told that from an Intel she got that the first order already getting ready to face this yuuzhan vong. The senate is getting louder and louder, as the argument change. They say the first order building up their navy to face an unknown invasion. They say that it is ridiculous. Leia then shows the machine and tracker that Luke give it to her from the Jedi temple. Silence came into the room, they whisper to each other.
Both sides start the argument,
"Are you saying that you trusted the information of the empire and a Jedi?" a senator says.
"We have trust in the technology and the previous republic are you doubting that the tracking is actually showing," the other one says tries to debunk it.
Then the president on the edge while suddenly the Chairman of the senate scream "order, order. Senator Organa do you have any more proof of this attack?"
"Yes Mr Chairman, may I present a witness," she asks
"You may" the chairman
Leia then brought Poe and Rose to testify. Afterward, the Senate questioned their testimony.
" So you are mostly unconscious while Poe rescues you, doesn't that mean only Poe testimony that sufficient?" One of the senators asked.
Rose only say yes
"So that means Poe himself could be a spy or he only been pretense so the peace section could divert our military spending into their own pocket," one of the senates says while pointing at Poe in which he screams, "Hey I am loyal to the republic true and true my parents are…!!"
"ORDER ORDER!!" The chairman says as he continues "we are not here to question the witness, we are here to determine the fate of the money we put in our military and continue to wipe the terrorist called the first order. Because we do not have more time let's vote on the resolution."
In a few moment, they start voting and the result is, the majority approve of it and goes with the war with the first order. They also sideline the news of the yuuzhan vong as a meter of a hoax that been created to alter the foundations of the military to the deep pocket of greedy senators.
Senator Organa walks toward her office and calls via a communication to Empress Ziyla.
" it is unfortunate senator, I am sorry that it is not as you want to be," Ziyla says to her.
"Well you did warn me about it and the risk," Leia says to her
"Why did you take it then, trusting a sith like me and risk it all," she asks Leia
"Cause once my mother does the same in the clone wars, peace begins by trusting each other am I right? The same reason you risk yourself to come in here am I right" Leia giggle
"Well, for now, I hope we could minimize the damage," says the empress
"I hope we could," she says to her looks hopeless
"May your hope always be with you," she says to Leia
"May yours as well" Leia turn off the communication.
While on the other side, Empress Ziyla is sitting on her chair and looking out of the windows seeing the construction of a new kind of fighter plane.
Kylo suddenly walks in and kneels, "Master you called me?"
"Yes my apprentice, Darth Lewn." While the Empress says so, Kylo stands up.
She continues "Do you think I wouldn't know?"
Kylo opens his eyes wide, he is unable to look upon his master in the eyes. Ziyla only uses her finger and choke Kylo and raise him to mid-air. "Don't play with me child" she says while pulling him in with force as she stands up and puts her legs on her table. "Tell me where did you get those blood?"
Kylo struggle to say it, "ah..ah..ahc.."
"Say it!!" As she chokes
"Ahch...Ahch-To" she let him go while she goes back to sit in her own chair
"So you want to take an apprentice then?" She asks him
"No.. I wouldn't dare to try.." suddenly Kylo's body crush and hits the ground as something weighs down on him.
"You dare to challenge me, apprentice? Did you think you are ready to become the master, to be the Sith Lord?" She asks him
"No.. please..master.. I.." he suddenly could breathe and manage to stand up again. Ziyla has let him live once more. She turns away and said,"brought her to me then, if you knew the result of the blood. You knew how precious she is to me. Bring her here, I'll be her teacher, Master, and only Sith lord," she said it as she turns and looks Kylo in the eyes.
