章 39: Fascinated by Nathan

After finishing eating together, Nathan turned to invite Clara to their room. He walked leisurely hand in hand with his wife, occasionally glancing at each other and smiling. The man was so happy, so excited that he suddenly carried his wife bridal style when he was going up the stairs.

"Nathan!" Clara was surprised and immediately grabbed Nathan's shoulder.

Nathan just smiled, then walked up the stairs casually without any objections.

Clara was silent, staring at the handsome Nathan, which made her remember how she too often dated Michael. She immediately felt guilty, but again the memory that the real Clara had died and would leave Nathan with grief, made her feel sorry for him and had to keep acting.

"Why are you looking at me like that? Am I too charming?" asked Nathan with a mocking smile.

"Eh, you're handsome," said Clara casually.

Nathan blushed. "Did you just realize that your husband is handsome?"
