章 38: Ideas

Paschama led Callie down several corridors and into a large room that reminded Callie of a greenhouse. The cavern was filled with vivid green vines and plants that covered floor, ceiling, and walls. Flowers dotted the entire area and moved about as though conversing with each other at a party.

No matter how often was around the vegetation, Callie felt as though she had stepped into her own version of a Wonderland. There were plants thriving deep underground, and they spoke to each other as well as herself. Would she ever get used to it?

Paschama walked to the center of the room where a tight bunch of vines rose up to meet her. Lillies larger than any Callie had seen before opened up and bowed their heads toward their leader. Leaning forward, Paschama whispered into one of the open flowers. It grew wider.
