The cold ointment spread on her cheek really relieved a lot of Grace Gordon's discomfort.
Stanhope Brown threw the cotton swab into the trash can, sat by Grace Gordon's bedside, and looked at her eyes with tender reproach, "Why did you run up there without even wearing protective clothing? You think you're invincible?"
Grace had trouble breathing as she looked at Stanhope, as if something was stuck in her chest.
"What about you? You knew about the Evergreen Mountain Fire, why did you rush up there?" Grace questioned him back.
"So... you care about me, you're afraid I'll die?" Stanhope's voice contained a hint of laughter.
If so, Stanhope was pleased... very pleased that his wife cared so much about him. However, he was less pleased to see her injure herself so badly.
As Grace felt increased pain in her hand, she stared at Stanhope's clear eyes without blinking. So... was he worrying about Jenner Summer, fearing that she would die?
