章 9: Never Stop Learning
The next day, after his daily matinal jog, Ichigo was taking breakfast with his parents.
"Dear, I have some good news for you" His mother smiled as she announced.
"You finished them?" Ichigo asked expectantly.
"Well no, not all of them, but some." She corrected. She enjoyed creating new clothes from the design given to her by her son. His imagination was a vivid one.
"Yes!" Ichigo celebrated.
'Drip life here I come!' He was joyous, it was really his good luck that his mother is a tailor.
"Son, your manners."
"Sorry." At his father's reprimand, he apologized. He was in the wrong after all.
"Also, you said you wanted to learn to smith?" His father asked.
"Yes, please!"
"Hm... It won't be easy, learning to smith takes a long time, even to your quality as a shinobi." His father told him. It's not like he didn't want to teach him or anything, matter of fact he couldn't be happier that his son wanted to learn his craft, as a father he was really proud.
"Even with your abnormal condition, you can't rush the metal, after all, your speed would not help you much here. You will have to learn it like any normal person." His father said and he was right, although he could use super speed in some instances, it wouldn't help him much.
"I know, I still want to learn." Ichigo was determined to do it, no more like he couldn't resist the envy to do it.
"Fine, after your ninja training, find me in my smithy." His father finally agreed.
"Yeah!" Ichigo once again celebrated, but he caught sight of his father staring at him so he soon calmed. He did an embarrassed laugh with his hand behind his head.
"Honey leave him alone already!" His mother defended him as his father just shook his head and resumed eating.
"And also, Ichigo." She addressed her son. "Why do you want to learn his craft and not mine?" She was jealous. The boy would make a great tailor with enough practice. "Even more, you can use your unique talent in this case!"
"Huh? I don't know." Ichigo had a finger on his cheek as he tilted his head. "Perhaps after? I am not really interested in tailoring right now." He continued.
"Mou!" His mother pouted as his father had a small smile on his face.
To be honest, learning how to smith was not really in his plans, it was just a sudden interest he couldn't fight. So he ultimately decided to act on it.
"Don't worry mom, perhaps I will come to learn one day... then I will come to ask you to teach me."
"So you will learn it? fine, I will remember your words!" As if she had selective hearing, she only acknowledged the words she wanted. Hearing his mother, Ichigo just sighed, he was already habituated to his mother's antic.

As he arrived at the habitual training field they use with Genma, Ichigo found out that his instructor was still not there yet, so he took a seat under a tree and waited for him.
'Perhaps should I create a new jutsu? If Kakashi was able to do it at a young age, I also should be able to do the same.' He thought. Since he had nothing to do while waiting for his instructor; his thoughts started drifting.
'I almost finished creating my own taijutsu style with Guy-sensei's help, after that, I will have to give my attention to something else.'
'I can learn to smith and tailoring on the side. It wouldn't probably take me more than a day or two to become a master tailor, but fear not being able to concentrate on it.'
'With superseded everything becomes much easier, so easier in fact that it makes me worried a bit.'
'If I become good at everything, would I still be a human? Perhaps learning to smith is a better move than I first thought since it will take me a long time to become good at it.'

'Should I present this to the Hokage to gain some rewards? perhaps he would allow me to learn some A or S class jutsu?' He wondered.
"Remind me, Now that I am a chunin, I can learn B ranks jutsu as well, perhaps even A." His teacher would probably be happier about this promotion than he himself is. The man seemed to love seeing Ichigo learn new jutsu in a flash.
"You are right." Said Genma who arrived at an unknown point in time. "But, although I would love to teach you some new Ninjutsu, I have something else planned for you as of now."
"Genma-sensei." Ichigo greeted while getting up. "What do you have in mind?" He asked his instructor.
"Do you know what this is?" Genma asked after taking out a scroll from his backpack.
"A sealing scroll." Ichigo answered.
"Exactly, and what you are going to learn has something to do with it."
"How to unseal it?" Ichigo asked.
"Yes but no, it's more than that... I am going to teach you fuinjutsu." Genma said. Although he couldn't teach the boys the boy Flying Raijin, he could teach him fuinjutsu in preparation since he already accepted the Hokage's proposition.
"Sensei know fuinjutsu?" Ichigo was surprised, although he watched all episodes of Naruto, he knew no such thing.
"Yes I do, I learned it under the fourth Hokage himself... and his wife, along with some other people." He stated, proudness clearly in his tone. For them to learn the flying thunder God formation, the Fourth had taught them fuinjutsu in some capacity. After that, he improved his knowledge on his own.
Although he was in no way a master, he was proficient enough to be able to teach someone else.
"Sensei, that's amazing!" Ichigo knew how op fuinjutsu was but because it's so op, it's also really difficult to learn.
"The best part is, because of your great level of control over your chakra, I already know you have the talent for it. Now you just have to work hard."
"Let's go then, let's do it!" Ichigo was even more excited than this morning when his mother told him that she was done with some of the clothes he asked her to make.
"...Wait, sensei, didn't you promise me to find someone to teach me genjutsu?" Ichigo stopped right on his track when he remembered this.
"Ahem, Ahem... Well yes, and you don't have to worry, I am working on it." Genma instinctively coughed a little before calming down and finding an excuse.
'I had already forgotten this... Guess I have to look for Kurenai.' He thought.
"I believe you sensei!" Ichigo for sure, know that the instructor had already forgotten this, he just wanted to remind the latter.
Even if he didn't want to learn too many things, genjutsu was just too interesting to pass by, with his chakra control and imagination, he could become a truly scary genjutsu user. The best is that the enemy wouldn't even remark he was in a genjutsu because of his speed. Why? Because ninjas' reaction speeds were the fastest they could get, but their visual acuity on the other hand... Except if you have a powerful dojutsu... Hehe.
Although he thought so, Ichigo could probably become as good as practically any specialist in any domain in a record time. Genjutsu, Taijutsu and Ninjutsu included. It was all just a matter of preference.
"Follow me then, I reserved an appropriate place for the best learning experience." Genma instructed. This place was not the best.
"Yes sensei!" As Ichigo nodded he was about to follow Genma who was gonna flicker away before the instructor stopped. Genma just realized something, it was just a thought but a truly scary one.
"Ichigo, correct me if I am wrong but.... did you ever learn body flicker?" Genma hesitantly asked.
"Hm... Now that you talk about it... No, you never did teach me this jutsu" Ichigo answered "Why?" he asked at his turn.
'Ha shit, this boy is a real monster.'
Since the boy was so fast, he never even considered teaching him the body flicker jutsu, it flew past his head. Since this jutsu was most used to evade surprise attacks or to travel it was a jutsu that most learned directly after leaving the academy or even before.
Apart from those perks, it's not really useful for most... except if you are the fourth, Shisui, or the Raikage. But he forgot that the little monster before him could also potentially use it to its full potential because of his abnormal Kekkei Genkai.
And that Ichigo also just realized after thinking about it with his accelerated thought process.
'How much faster would he become if he could use it like Shisui of the body flicker?' Genma wondered.
'Do he even need the Flying Raijin?' He started doubting his choices.
