章 517: I Can't Bear To Lose You Again

When they arrived, Leo recognized Mila's car in the parking lot so they knew she had beaten them back after all. He peeked in the front window and saw her frantically looking around. 

'She's worried about me! What if this doesn't work? She might have already checked under the bed,' he fretted. 

'Trust me, we're going to get through this,' Drew reassured him. 

They had to because if they didn't he wasn't going to be able to get the cat to go to work for him anymore. He wasn't quite as mad about his fanatical devotion to Mila as he was before after seeing her break down yesterday but he still didn't want to lose the job he had worked so hard for. 

His entire life had been wasted doing what he thought would make his parents pay the slightest bit of attention to him. That was why he worked hard enough in school to graduate at sixteen, got a scholarship to a prestigious university, and quickly advanced up the ladder in the business world.
