章 417: All The Invitation He Needed

When they got back inside, Sylvie set to work on her next batch of cupcakes and Drake was content to watch her until she suddenly asked if he wanted to help. He wasn't about to say no to that. If she wanted him to help, he could absolutely help.

"Yes but I've never baked before so be as specific as possible," he told her. 

She laughed. "Noted. We can start with you handing me things. Could you pass the cream of tartar?"

He had no idea what that was and had to check all of the labels for the ingredients she had set on the counter. When he did find it, he handed it over and she smiled at him and thanked him. He would have to remember what that looked like. What all of these things looked like, really. In case she wanted him to help again later. 

Drake had never seen her bake before since she always did it when he was at work. But she happily hummed to herself as she worked and seemed much brighter than she usually did.
