Zachary had a knack for magic that he did not have for socializing with his peers. But he carried on with preschool because of the deal he made with his father.

Erevan was rather impressed by his progress though he didn't have time to teach much more than the basics when his wife wasn't around. He had always been a quick learner and caught onto the curriculum he was being taught at preschool much faster than the other kids as well.

He struggled to get along with others until Olivia was a toddler and could communicate enough to play with him. Having someone like him to practice with helped a lot. She was every bit as smart and eager to learn but her primary interest was animals rather than magic. She absolutely adored Stella, who ended up having a new favorite person because of the constant attention.
