Erevan thought about it. There was no reason for him to be afraid of anything now that the worst had already happened to him. He had been betrayed and nearly killed by someone he had devoted himself to.

It only happened because the demon king caught him by surprise. If he had seen it coming, he would have been able to stop it. His former master had never been able to beat him in a fight though they were at a similar skill level. When you were that powerful, there was no fear of death or injury.

Nothing in this world was capable of hurting him. He was the only being he was aware of that even had magic here.

He supposed the only thing he was afraid of was Molly deciding she didn't want him anymore and banishing him. She was his reason for living. He had certainly been nervous just now that she was afraid of demons. So if he was afraid of anything it was that.

"I'm afraid of you abandoning me," Erevan confessed.
