章 119: Unkillable metal man
As I walked through the opening in the wall I found myself back in the alley where I met Alfred. I pushed the back door open and the same dimly lit bar with the same female bartender could be seen. As soon as I made it out of the bar I was drowned in rainwater. It seemed to be raining intensely. I could only wonder why it wasn't raining in the alleyway.
As if understanding what I was thinking, Alfred began to talk. "It is because there is a charm placed in the alleyway. It stops rain, wind, hail, anything really." He explained. I nodded, that was what I had guessed but it was good to get the answer anyway. I waved down a taxi and hopped in it with Alfred in tow.
"Where are we going?" the driver asked as he looked at us through the mirror. I gave him the address of the hotel I was staying at. He pulled out of his parking space and drove off under the incessant downpour.

20 minutes later we arrived in front of the hotel. I used imperio on the driver and he drove away as if nothing happened. I walked into the hotel and straight to my room. But as soon as I walked in I remembered that Alfred needed a bed. I was lucky my room had a spare but when I told him where to sleep he looked at me oddly.
"Young master, I don't need sleep, I'm not human remember. I will simply stay here and make sure everything is ok at night." He said seriously. I was stunned for a moment before facepalming. I didn't take that into consideration. The dude is practically the terminator. But something was bugging me. Alfred wouldn't be of much use in a magic fight. He would be blown to pieces in seconds. So, I got him to sit down at the table and began to discuss an idea I had in mind.
"Ok Alfred, I want to ask, how resistant are you to magic?"
"Umm, not too much I would say. I think spell would still deal damage to me." He responded with uncertainty. I wanted to throw a spell at him to test it out, but I didn't want to kill him.
"Fuck it, I'll make you a magic tank then," I said with a shrug.
'Drak is there any type of magic I can engrave on Alfred that will negate offensive spells and charms?' I asked with a grin.
[There is, here, I'll send you the information. This magic circle will absorb magic directed at him; it will then be stored as raw power which can then be incorporated into attacks. Since he can't use magic, he will be relying on physical attacks, so I think this will be perfect for him. It will also tether his consciousness to it. so as long as the core stands, he will not die.] he said.
"Wait, Alfred, you can't use magic?" I asked.
"No young master, I can only control metal." He said while shaking his head.
"Ok, well, Drak just gave me the information, so can you turn back into a ball so I can engrave the magic circle onto your body?" I asked him. Alfred looked puzzled but nodded anyway. His body lost all colour and he reverted back to his silver self before melting into a ball of silver. I then took hold of it and began the process. It took about an hour to do simply because I was processing the information as I worked. It was slow and tedious, but I finally finished.
"Ok, Alfred, turn back into your human form, I want to try out the effectiveness," I said with a smile. The ball of silver morphed into a human shape and regain its colour.
I lifted my left hand and pointed it at Alfred. "Stay still… Bombarda Maxima!" I said in a hushed voice. A small invisible wave of magic rippled out and landed on Alfred. But instead of a massive explosion that would have ripped a hole in the roof and floor, Alfred began to shine slightly, and the magic disappeared.
"Young master, I feel that magic being stored in my body. It's forming a core of sorts." He said with a smile. I nodded contently at the results, but a thought dawned on me.
"Drak what happens if the core is destroyed?" I asked.
[It will explode. And Alfred will die immediately after. That is the drawback of using this engraving. His consciousness lies within the core.] he said seriously. I was shocked and seriously explained what would happen in the core was destroyed to Alfred. He took it pretty well. I wasn't too worried since, in order to destroy it, you would need to use physical attacks and shred his body to pieces to find the core. This included magical attacks that had a physical property to it since Alfred couldn't absorb none metal objects. So, he wasn't completely unstoppable, but he was at least 100x harder to kill.
I nodded contently and went off to my room leaving Alfred in the living room doing whatever it is he wanted to do. I needed to practice my new ability and start working at Microsoft for the next two and a half weeks.

I Just got out of the Airport in California where apple headquarters were located. I Had spent the last three weeks in Seattle, a couple more days than planned but there was nothing that could be done about it. it couldn't be rushed, and even so, I spent 10 hours a day making sure that all the plans, blueprints and ideas were done and ready. It was exhausting, to say the least. The nerds had great ideas though and Bill even improved upon my designs. It just went on to show just how much of a genius he was. I wouldn't be checking back with him for a while, but I was more than comfortable leaving the rest up to him.
I was also just as confident in Steve Jobs. I would need to do everything I did at Microsoft but all over again from zero. I was also planning on creating Pixar with Steve and creating the basic outline for all the movies that would be massive hits. It was going to be great. But the chances of getting everything done was slim. Especially if I added Pixar into the mix. So, I would have to wait and see what could be done.
