章 18: 18. Gio the complainer

For children who go home from boarding school on weekends, it is like a diamond, expensive and rare.

As people say, home itself is good, whatever you want is free, but for Maura Magen, her parents' house is even more fun. Wake up, eat, sleep has become his routine.

---------------------------

Exactly seven in the morning. Maura didn't really want to wake up from the soft mattress and the warm blanket that rolled her body.

The sun's rays had long since penetrated through the curtains of his bedroom window.

Today is the weekend, time to relax. That's what Maura always suggested to herself.

Enough of your suffering in the hostel for five days in a row. Not sleeping well just because your roommate is screaming like a devil while watching drama on her laptop.

But her mother's voice back and forth in front of the room annoyed her half to death. Making the only thing about her long sleep shattered.

Not to mention the presence of Fussy, her mother's white cat who sniffed its bushy tail against Maura's face.

Truly a morning that did not live up to expectations.

"Maura, what do you want for breakfast? Chicken porridge or fried rice?"

"Argh.."

Maura grumbled softly and finally had to get up from her sleep. Her body ached in the back. How long has she been asleep?

"Maura!" cried her mother again.

"Chicken porridge, Mom."

"It just so happened to be in front, you bought it."

"Well, Maura thinks Mama made it."

Maura got up and opened the door to her room. Her appearance is still the same as doll pajamas complete with cat ears covering her hair.

She rubbed her eyes slowly, occasionally yawning to hold back the drowsiness that never ended.

"Mama can't cook Maura's porridge, dear, you know that."

Rectification

Not only cooking porridge but almost nothing that can be mastered by her mother.

To find her mother in the kitchen without incident was a miracle.

For Maura Magen, charred fish and flavored soups are common. Just be thankful that during the seventeen years of her life only a few times food poisoning, the rest is still safe.

Maura couldn't understand what made her father marry her mother who couldn't do anything. The only advantage of the woman who gave birth to her is her brilliant career as a business woman.

"Just fried rice, Maura is lazy to leave the house."

"You cook, Mama's busy. Next month I want to launch a new design for the summer."

Her mother caught Fussy's body who had just come out of her room. Holding its tightly as if it was her second child.

Just the same as usual. Maura took a deep breath, "Where's Papa?" she only hope was her father.

"Your papa has been out of town since last night dear. Don't be fussy about cooking there, or just delivery."

"No restaurants open this morning Ma."

"Yes, you just cook, Maura usually does the same, doesn't she?"

"Lazy Ma. Maura's goal to go home is just to relax, nothing more and nothing less. Can you imagine how heavy the burden Maura carried while in the dormitory?" Maura blinked her eyes sadly.

Drama..

Her mother let out a long sigh. She looked at the only girl who had just gotten out of bed. Disheveled hair hiding under the hood of her pajamas.

"Yes, Mama will buy chicken porridge over there. You take a shower, and make a beautiful make-up. Don't be like a girl who doesn't take care of it."

Her mother gently pushed her daughter's body towards the bathroom on the first floor.

---------The Best Valentine--------

After finishing cleaning herself, Maura returned to her room wearing a white T-shirt and a small towel that covered her wet hair. Sometimes he rubs it.

Her little head was stringing together all the things she wanted to do after this, chill, relax and relax. The stock of anime and drama on her laptop is already screaming to be watched.

Weekend is the same as a prosperous day for school children like her.

Maura smiled faintly, her eyes still sleepy, but her ears could still hear the small chatter from the living room.

Maura furrowed her brows in confusion. Who did her mother talk to so early in the morning? Even too very disrespectful for visiting guests.

"Auntie could be joking."

It was Gio's voice. Maura knew very well the voice of her bastard cousin.

The rioter. There were only two reasons Gio visited her house, asking for free breakfast plus free wifi.

Read clearly on his handsome face.

"Mom.. did you buy the chicken porridge?" asked Maura who deliberately approached her mother in the living room. Who knows her mother made a mistake and gave Gio her order of chicken porridge.

"Just woke up Ra!! Don't lose to the neighbor's chicken." Gio muttered while enjoying the bowl of porridge on his lap.

Maura snorted while throwing her half wet towel in Gio's face.

"That must be my chicken porridge!!"

"Shiitt!! It's gross, damn it!!" shouted Gio.

He shifted his seat to the end of the chair, avoiding Maura while protecting the porridge he had already finished half of.

"Come on, yours was Mama put it on the dining table. Do you want me to get it?"

Maura nodded, showing the sweetest smile for her mother. The girl threw herself on the sofa as her mother stepped into the kitchen.

Maura glanced at Gio who was busy with his breakfast.

"Aunt Anit didn't give you anything to eat, did you? How come you eat breakfast here every day?" asked Maura uncomfortably.

It's not that she's stingy, it's just that Gio often takes her food rations just because she wakes up late.

'That your fate, wake up late, so your sustenance is in four chickens.' Those were the legendary words that Gio often said when she was angry.

"Not every day, too. I'll just go to your house on weekends."

"It's the same.."

Gio stopped his feeding. He looked up at Maura half annoyed, "You stingy, you don't want me to come."

Maura rolled her eyes bored. It's obvious. Her mother was not only helpless, she was also too kind, too kind.

Let alone a creature like Gio who is actually her own nephew. The poor cat in the ditch was accommodated by her mother, all the more human.

As a result her house is full of breeding kittens. Gradually his house looked more like a cat day care day after day.

Maura wanted to argue with Gio again, but her mother had already appeared with a bowl of chicken porridge before her.

"Auntie, why spoil Maura so much? Later, the child can't do anything like auntie." Exclaimed Gio opening his voice.

Maura snorted softly. At the same time, a thumbs up for Gio's courage to say that in front of her mother.

Instead of being angry her mother just smiled and waved her hand. Her gaze turned to the princess who pursed her lips in annoyance

"Eat it, then after this make a beautiful make up so you won't think it's a boy or a neighbor." Her mother exclaimed.

Gerr…

Maura snorted in annoyance, then ate her breakfast slowly.

"So who is Erlangga?"

"Ouch!!" Maura glared with her mouth agape from choking.

Damn it!! Even though she just ate a spoonful. And sadly Maura swears the bastard Gio was chuckling faintly laughing at her.

"Slowly my dear." Her mother took a glass of water while stroking her daughter's back.

After everything was settled, Maura could breathe properly. She pushed up, "Mama, the daughters are eating too."

"I'm sorry, after all, Mama was too happy to hear that you wanted to date. I thought you would be single until you die. But it turns out that someone wants to be with this lazy mama's daughter."

"Gosh, I'm grateful to Gio for delivering this happy news, Mama is very touched."

Her eyes lit up as she said that, as if a miracle had descended in their midst.

Gio smiled broadly as he gave a thumbs up, "Anything for aunty, as long as Gio is allowed to have breakfast here."

Maura took a deep breath. Immediately she realized, that means her mother also thinks she is not charm, right?
