Evelyn waited outside the carriage, wrapping herself in a shawl which she reminded herself to carry wherever she would go. Almost an hour had passed and there was no sign of Elric. She wondered where he might have gone.
"Achoo!"
She rubbed her nose. Rubbing her palms together, tried to warm herself. But the cold winter wind in the night, never let her alone by keeping her in the company of frequent sneezes.
"Miss Evelyn," the coach began, "I guess you should wait inside the carriage. It's too cold outside."
She nodded at him for being concerned about her. Glancing one last time at the entrance of the council, she hopped into the carriage. Even though the cold wind passed through the windows of the carriage, it was warmer than outside.
