***ADDIE'S POV*** 

Things had settled down in the carriage. As much as they could when you were waiting to arrive at what could only be described as a battlefield. At least, that's what I was imagining. The kind and softhearted citizens of Ronchelle versus the violent fighters of Laumont. It only conjured images of blood, carnage, and death. 

We had to get there in time. We had to save them. Whatever happens, I couldn't let anyone in Ronchelle die. And if they did, I would take each death as a personal insult from King Elapidae. He was behind this whole thing, though I still didn't know why. 

What was his goal? What did he hope to gain from all of this? Did he think he could beat me? Did he think he was able to eliminate every national leader and take over the world? Just what was his plan and intended outcome?
