I was in my office later that night. It was the same day that Juliana had come to talk to me, and I had made a decision to ascend a commoner wolf into the rank of a noble wolf. I sent a letter to Nolan to request his presence during this ceremony that would be taking place.

It was not an official ceremony. It wasn't happening in front of a large group of people. And it was being kept quiet for the time being. Then again, ascensions such as these were not major news to people. They were rare though. Most commoners did not have what it took to become a noble. They didn't have the financial stability, the mana, nor the political backing. This man, Isaiah Declan, he had it all. He had worked hard for things and was determined to be the noble that he wanted to become.
