He put away the veil and sat down next to him unable to contain his excitement. He had this strong urge to kick everyone out, lock the door and press his baby on the bed to ravage him to his heart's content. 

Imagining what he would do to him tonight the tips of his ears turned red. Qie Xieling had no idea what he was thinking but his chrysanthemum suddenly tightened as though sensing the threat. The older woman poured out wine for them in small porcelain cups linked together with a red thread. 

In the intimate glow of their bridal chamber, the newlyweds sat facing each other and crossed their arms, each holding a cup of wedding wine. Their eyes met a silent promise passing between them.

"May our love be as enduring as this wine," Qie Xieling whispered, his voice barely audible.

Luo Muchen nodded, his gaze unwavering. "To a lifetime of happiness," he replied.
