章 23: "The class president smells really nice,"

Qie Xieling didn't need anyone to tell him that Luo Muchen was holding a grudge and used this to get back at him for something.

Well, he couldn't really pinpoint the crime because he had committed so many of those. As an unremorseful little milk dog, he retaliated.

"Uh Mu Mu, why are you being like this? We are camping buddies yet you would hold such a petty grudge," he said walking closer and Luo Muchen took a step back closing the water bottle having drunk more than half of it.

He didn't know why he suddenly wanted to mess with Qie Xieling. All he knew was that he got so annoyed by him and walked away but when he realised he was being unreasonable he brought three bottles of water because he knew Qie Xieling could only be with Bo Ailun and came looking for them.

When he saw the two of them hugging he suddenly had the urge to mess with Qie Xieling and didn't give him the water he brought.

Qie Xieling lunged forward to take the unopened bottle from Luo Muchen and Luo Muchen stretched out his hand raising the bottle high.

What he didn't expect was that Qie Xieling would turn around and grabbed the water bottle he drank from. Qie Xieling stuck his tongue out with a mocking smile as he unscrewed the cap.

Luo Muchen, "..."

He watched Qie Xieling down the rest of the bottle without missing a beat. His lips were even touching the mouth of the bottle like he didn't care that Luo Muchen had drunk from it.

Luo Muchen's ears suddenly felt hot for some reason but the culprit was the least bit affected.

After finishing it all Qie Xieling chuckled softly before saying, "The class president smells really nice." That was the scent he was smelling in his dreams before. It was both fragrant and soothing making him want to take another whiff.

Luo Muchen felt a tingling sensation in the pit of his stomach like he was having cramps.

"He does?" asked Bo Ailun taking a step forward to take a whiff. He didn't stand too close but he could smell it.

"He does, doesn't he?" said Qie Xieling while going in for another whiff and this time he had no concept of personal space. He acted the same way he acted with Bo Ailun. He draped his arm over Luo Muchen's shoulder and pulled him close into a hug. The tip of his nose accidentally brushed against Luo Muchen's neck and the class president froze his muscles stiff. Before he knew it Qie Xieling let go while sighing.

"They are starting the sack race," said Bo Ailun as he turned to leave. Qie Xieling grabbed Luo Muchen's wrist and said, "Let's go."

Bo Ailun playfully hooked his arm around Qie Xieling's neck like they always do but Qie Xieling pushed his face away while saying, "Back off. You don't smell as good as the class president," with a toothy smile.

Bo Ailun kicked the dust on the ground and it sprayed on Qie Xieling's shoe. "Neither do you," he yelled before he ran away. Now, Qie Xieling wouldn't be Qie Xieling if he didn't run after him. He let go of Luo Muchen and ran after Bo Ailun. The two of them ran in circles making Teacher Wong dizzy. He had to catch one of them to make them stop.

Luo Muchen on the other hand had on an absent expression the entire time. Something was seriously wrong with him which was incredibly worrying. He told himself if it persisted he should go to see the nurse.

Qie Xieling stood on the side watching the girls' sack races with Bo Ailun when a boy from their class called Deming inserted himself between them.

Qie Xieling's brows arched as he stared at his classmate with a look that seemed to say 'you better have a fuckin good reason'.

Deming acted like they were close patting Qie Xieling's back twice while saying, "I heard Ya Ya hugged you."

Luo Muchen who was standing beside Qie Xieling stared at that hand on Qie Xieling's back and he impulsively pushed it away.

Deming's first response was to frown menacingly while looking in that direction but when he saw the class president glowering at him like a fiend, he swallowed his words back down.

He turned his gaze back at Qie Xieling and whispered something. Qie Xieling's brows knitted together but moments later they relaxed and he nodded his head. Deming glanced at the class president one more time before leaving. Luo Muchen wanted to know what they talked about but he also didn't want to be too nosy.

He decided to hold back and not ask but when he heard Qie Xieling and Bo Ailun cheering Lee Ya on he couldn't help but pat Qie Xieling's arm.

Qie Xieling glanced in his direction and Luo Muchen asked, "What did he say?"

Qie Xieling just smiled slightly while saying, "It's nothing."

How the fuck was he supposed to tell him that they were about to break multiple rules tonight? Luo Muchen looked at Qie Xieling for a very long time but Qie Xieling smiled with his tiger teeth showing before looking away.

Meanwhile, the starting pistol was fired with a bang and Bi Yu hopped like a bunny intending to beat Lee Ya. Which girl in their class didn't dislike Lee Ya? She was so mean but in front of the boys, she was this pure kind-hearted girl who could do no wrong.

Bi Yu was so determined to beat her at something for once thus she hopped in that sack for her life. When she reached the finish line first she was so excited but who would have thought this green tea would pretend to fall at the finish line and steal the limelight?

Bi Yu rolled her eyes before walking towards Luo Muchen. Her face changed drastically as she popped up in front of Luo Muchen looking for praise.

"Mu-ge, I came in first. Did you see that?" she said and Qie Xieling reached over to pat her head while saying in a not-so-obvious mocking tone, "YuYu made us proud."

Bi Yu exploded like a puffer fish with her spikes sharp and pointy. Qie Xieling retracted his hand and pushed Luo Muchen over to her.

"Mu-ge coax her," he said before turning to leave. Luo Muchen grabbed his collar and pulled him back.

Qie Xieling, "..."

Was this starting to become a habit? How many times today had he been pulled like this by Luo Muchen?
