章 17: LinLin: I think I am going to die in the woods.

"Look at him. He seems really reluctant to go on the camping trip. There must be snakes and mosquitoes there," complained Wen Qinxi looking at his son sitting on the carpet while playing games.

Qie Ranzhe was more than willing to ship him off. Why? It was because he thought as Qie Xieling got older he would stop being clingy to his dad but the problem had only gotten worse.

Do you know the saying daddy's little girl? That, but daddy's little munchkin. All throughout elementary school whenever this kid got back from school the first person he would look for was Wen Qinxi.

Because he hated staying home by himself Qie Xieling would come to the office but instead of being on the top floor with the CEO, he preferred being in the lab with Wen Qinxi.

The more they spent time together the less time he could spend with his husband. What made it worse was the fact that Qie Xieling was now interested in programming and Wen Qinxi was more than willing to teach him. When those two really got into it they would be lost in all the coding language.

Let's not even mention the time he wasn't invited to their fake wedding. He found out when his son posted on the group chat with candy ring pops on both their fingers. They were super close but that also meant he was the third wheel more than a dozen times.

Before Qie Xieling graduated from elementary school, the school planned a school camping trip. Qie Xieling tried to hide it and didn't give them both his permission slip to sign.

But Qie Ranzhe still got the permission slip in his emails and he jumped at the chance. He couldn't wait to spend an entire weekend with his husband but judging from both their faces he seemed like the villain.

"Lin Lin fuckin hates the dark and he dislikes going outside," said Wen Qinxi only for Qie Ranzhe's brow to arch. Wen Qinxi instantly knew what he meant so he explained, "He can't hear us."

Qie Ranzhe was certain that his son could hear everything so to prove his point he turned his head slightly and said, "Anyone wants to get some fudge from Cake Land?"

Before he even finished speaking Qie Xieling pulled down his headsets and said, "Me. Let me put on my shoes."

Wen Qinxi, "..."

He might as well give Qie Xieling the middle name fudge. The way he liked it you would think that he was born in a fudge factory.

"You are out of your mind. Why would they be open at this hour?" he said to his son and Qie Xieling pouted his lips before putting the headsets back on.

Qie Ranzhe moved closer to his target and accidentally on purpose dropped the remote. When he tried to pick it up he accidentally kicked it underneath the coffee table.

Unaware of the danger, Wen Qinxi knelt down to pick it up since it was more to his side. The rear view was so good that Qie Ranzhe couldn't help but squeeze. A squeeze turned into a smack and Wen Qinxi's body froze with his eyes wide open.

He bit his lower lip with a quirk at the corner of his lips. His face spelt horny as fuck. If Qie Xieling wasn't here he would have unzipped Qie Ranzhe's pants, oh wait.... he was wearing sweatpants so he would have pulled the strings with his teeth before.....

Realising his mind was going astray he got up with the remote and sat back down. Qie Ranzhe lightly rubbed his lips with his fingers masking the charming smile on his face.

He adjusted himself while pulling down his t-shirt. He placed his hand on Wen Qinxi's shoulder and squeezed gently the message clear.

By the time Qie Xieling turned around his parents were long gone. He wanted help with this mission having failed several times but his dad was gone. Qie Xieling sighed as he lay on the carpet with his cell phone in hand.

He pulled up the chat app and messaged Bo Ailun.

LinLin: My pa is still insisting I go.

LinLin: I think I am going to die in the woods.

A few minutes later a pink mouse popped up on his screen. It was Bo Ailun's avatar.

BoBo: We will die together in the woods big brother.

BoBo: I packed some sour worms to cheer us up.

BoBo: And YaYa is coming.

Qie Xieling's sullen expression suddenly beamed thinking of Lee Ya. The little fairy fell from who knows where and stole the boys' hearts including Qie Xieling's. They were mostly twelve year olds in their class and they had finally had what one could call their first crush. Qie Xieling who was always interested in games and snacks was suddenly drawn to her pigtails and smile.

LinLin: You think she will like the bracelet I made if I give it to her?

Bo Ailun didn't respond for a while. The interface kept saying typing that Qie Xieling almost thought he would never reply. Just as he was about to text him a series of question marks he replied.

BoBo: She will like it more if it's a real diamond.

Qie Xieling ruffled his hair lamenting his broke ass. He spent all his money on games and Qie Ranzhe refused to give him more so he couldn't afford new sneakers let alone a diamond bracelet.

The next day his father was the one who dropped him off at the school gate. A little worried he asked, "Where is dad?"

Recalling how Wen Qinxi was calling his name sweetly while clutching to him tightly Qie Ranzhe couldn't help but smile gleefully. "He was tired from last night. He worked overtime," said Qie Ranzhe and Qie Xieling truly believed him. The last time his dad worked overtime he had marks on his neck and arm. He was also dragging his feet like he was so exhausted.

Qie Xieling was so concerned that he almost called the ambulance. If it weren't for his father stopping him they would have come.

"Okay, take good care of dad. There is a temple at the campsite. I will get him a talisman," said Qie Xieling and Qie Ranzhe stifled his smile while replying,

"I will take great care of him. Don't worry about..."

Qie Ranzhe paused mid-sentence when he saw the Luo kid coming out of the car behind them.

His eyes suddenly widened. How did he forget this problem child? When he was in high school he would have loved this very opportunity and fought hard to share a tent with Wen Qinxi.

He turned to his son who was already out of the car and getting his backpack. "Lin-er, you didn't tell me that Luo kid is coming too.
