Galad was staring deep into my soul when a ball-shaped beam of light shot out of my chest.

Sith quickly took his own form as he positioned himself between his father and me. Then he turned his back to me, facing Galad.

And he spoke rather quickly.

"No, Father."

Even though I couldn't see his face as he folded his arms across his chest, I was sure he was quite... serious.

"I will not return. I see no place for me in the royalty."

For the first time, after Sith's words, I saw something other than seriousness on Galad's face.

And it was...

Bewilderment?

"You seem to have matured... Strange, for I always thought that was impossible for someone like you. But... you're still just as foolish."

"You know there are much better options than me. Just because I'm your son doesn't mean I have to be the one to take your place in the future."

Galad opened his mouth. He was going to say something with his usual calmness.
