The Werewolves were all aware of the broad outlines of what had happened with the Blue Moon Tribe Chief that had caused Silphie to take over as head of the tribe. They decided to wait for Alana who wasn't yet ready. The witch wanted to sharpen her knowledge and practice of magic with experience out in the world. They had made this decision together because Silphie didn't want to put pressure on her daughter after everything that had happened with Connor.

They all knew she wasn't a born Skinwalker either, though they didn't quite understand the implications behind this knowledge since werewolves knew very little about witches.

However, despite the fact that she repeated that she was far from being as strong as her mate, the former leader of Blue Moon, Silphie was powerful, moreover, she had a way to think of the magic that was most of the time surprising.
