章 10: Chapter Nine : It's siblings' quarrel!
'So how did things go last night? I saw you and Scorpius leaving together.' Rose asked barely able to contain her curiosity.
'Well, things did proceed.....' Lily bit her lip before confirming, 'We're together now!'
Rose's mouth opened in surprise. 'That's great Lily! I'm so happy for you.'
'Shh...We're in a public place.' Lily motioned for her cousin to lower her voice. They were sitting in the cafeteria of St. Mungo's where Rose was a trainee healer. Lily had come there in the evening after taking her auror training classes.
'Sorry, but this is amazing. I can't believe you guys are already together.'
'Now enough talk about me. Tell me why did you ask me to meet today.'
'Why else? To ask this only.'
'Seriously Rose. You're impossible.' Lily smiled at her. She didn't needed to say this but unlike what people thought Rose was actually one of the coolest cousins she had.
'So are you going to meet Albus? Should I call him too? Now that we're done with the important talk.' Rose wriggled her eyebrows and received a smack on the arm from Lily.
'Actually we're meeting at mom and dad's tonight for dinner so I'll just see him there.' Lily left out the details where Albus had seen her and Scorpius in the morning for she didn't wanted to bother Rose.
'Okay then come I'll accompany till the main gate.'
Both of them were walking out when they bumped into Albus. 'What are you doing here?' He asked Lily.
'I asked her to come. we hadn't talked properly in a while so...' Rose answered instead of Lily who looked nervous. Even if Albus didn't know about her and Scorpius, he still had seen them together.
'Stop wasting your time and concentrate on your training.' Those words from Albus didn't feel nice to Lily's ears. He'd never been so straight-faced in front of her.
'I just came for a chat.'
'Hmm.' Then Albus wanted to move past them but Lily held his hand.
'Is everything okay? Did I do something wrong?'
'That you will know better than me.'
'Albus...'
'I have to go work. My father is not my boss here that I can come and go as I please.' Hearing that Lily flinched. Many people had said it behind her back that it was easy for her to be an auror as Harry was the head auror but she didn't pay any head to those people. But now when her own brother was saying it, it hurt her heart. Not wanting to cry in public she excused herself and left St. Mungo's.
'What was that?' Rose asked still in shock at Albus's words.
'Nothing that concerns you.'
'Albus!'
'Rose please, it's a request, stay out of it. This is between me and my sister.'
Rose stepped back. 'Oh, so this is between you and your sister. And I'm definitely not your sister.' Albus sighed and before he could stop her she rushed out of his sight too. He cursed himself mentally for being rude to her. His anger towards Lily and Scorpius came out on Rose unnecessary.
Caught up in his thoughts he walked and entered the room he was not assigned. 'Oh I didn't know you had duty here.' His colleague said. That's when he checked his chart and apologized for entering the wrong room.
'It's okay he can attend me. The healer which was supposed to be here isn't here so...' The patient, which Albus when raised his eyes realized was Wood, said.
'What happened to you?' He looked concerned.
'Fell from the broom during quidditch practice.' Wood replied.
Albus came forward and examined his arm which had slight injury. 'You should've been careful. Are you sure you fell from the broom?' A professional player like him falling from the broom seemed suspicious.
'Um....' Wood looked at the other healer and she took the clue and left the room.
'Why did you send her out?' Albus asked.
'So that I can do this.' Wood said and gave Albus a peck on the lips but was pushed away immediately.
'This is a place where I work.'
'So? We've done more in my locker room. That's also the place where I work.' Wood said smugly.
'Quidditch ground and St. Mungo's are different.'
'I don't think so.' And he kissed Albus again, placing his hands on his chest.
Albus pushed him away again. 'Stop it! I'm not doing this here, especially not after what happened last night.'
'Are you still upset?'
'Shouldn't I be?' Albus looked intently at Wood.

Last night at the party when everyone was busy with their friends or partners, there were two people who were giving each other stolen looks. When finally people started to move out, both of them merged with the crowd and vanished before anyone from their friends and family could see them.
The door to his suite opened and Wood didn't waste a minute grabbing Albus's face immediately, who didn't mind it or being pushed to the nearest wall.
'Let's move it to the bedroom. Scorpius's room is also here.' Albus said in between the kisses and Wood without a word pulled him into the room. Not bothering to opened the button of his shirt, he ripped Albus's shirt open and placed soft kisses on his chest.
'Being in the same room as you and not being able to touch you is a torture. Let's skip parties like this from now on.' Wood said as he kissed Albus's hand.
'I wanted to congratulate my brother.'
'Let's not mention him right now.'
'But...' Before Albus could complete he was pushed on the bed and turned over. He grabbed the bed sheet as Wood moved on top of him and kissed his back without taking a break. He tilted his head slightly and grabbed Wood for a kiss again.
After a while when they were both wrapped in sheets and their breathing became normal, Albus put his head on Wood's bare chest and spoke softly, 'Why can't we make our relationship public?'
'You know why.' Wood replied.
'I hate to hide this from my family.'
'Me too. But this can't come out.'
'Are you ashamed to be with me?'
'Albus...'
'You know I love you. And I know you love me too. So why can't we make our relationship public?'
'Can we not talk about this? I'm already miffed with your brother's attitude, can you also not piss me off?'
Albus scoffed and threw the sheets off him and started getting dressed.
'What are you doing? Come back here.'
'I'll be sleeping on the couch outside.'
'Albus!' But Albus didn't stop and went outside shutting the door behind him. Wood fell on the bed and sighed.

'I know you're upset but please let me make this up to you.' Wood pleaded and Albus as always gave in for he couldn't bare to be away from the person he loved.
This time when Wood kissed him, Albus let him and even kissed him back. Little did they know that their little love endeavor was being witnessed by none other than Albus's elder brother and Wood's teammate, James Potter. James was about to interrupt the two when a hand came and stopped him. It was Fred Weasley, James's cousin. He took James away before he made a scene in public.
'Leave me!' James shouted.
'Keep it down. This is not your home.' Fred said.
'Didn't you see? Albus and Wood...they're dating....they're...'
'I know. But talk to him at home not here. Please.' Fred tried to make James understand and the latter smashed his hand on the wall in anger.

'Mom! I'm home.' Lily announced as she entered the Potter household.
'In the kitchen.' Harry called out to her.
Lily wasn't surprised to see both of her parents cooking together as she went to stand in the doorframe of the kitchen.
'What are we eating today?' She asked.
'Steak.' Ginny replied smiling at her daughter. She loved it when the house is filled with kids.
'Now I have an appetite.' Lily said rubbing her stomach. 'Do you I help you?'
'No. Everything is almost ready. You just call your brother. He's up in his room.' Ginny said.
'James is here? I thought he would be running late due to practice.'
'No, Albus is here.' Harry said.
'Ah.' Lily made a sound which made both Ginny and Harry look at her.
'What?' Harry asked.
'Nothing. I'm sure Albus is busy reading and he doesn't like to be disturbed when he's reading so let's just call him when we set the table.' Lily said trying to avoid her father's eyes.
'Did something happen between you two?' Ginny asked.
'No what will happen. I'll go get him.' Lily went up the stairs to further avoid their questions. She did not wanted them to know how Albus talked to her at St. Mungo's.
Carefully knocking on the door before entering, she stepped inside his room and Albus was actually reading a book. She cleared her throat and he looked up.
'Dinner is almost ready. Mom wants you down.'
'Hmm.' Looking at his facial expression Lily knew something was definitely wrong and that he was upset with her. But what it could be? She thought.
'Albus....'
'I'll be down in a minute.'
'I don't know what it is but.....'
'Not now Lily.' She noticed he wasn't even looking at her directly which meant it was something major.
'What is it? Did I do something wrong?'
'I said not Lily.' He raised hi voice.
'Albus, if there is a problem then we should talk about it.'
'So that you can lie to me again.'
'Wh...What are you talking about?'
'I know. Lily. I know about you and Scorpius.' That left Lily stunned.
'How?' She asked carefully.
'You might think I'm a fool but sorry to enlighten you, your brother isn't blind.' When she looked confused, he went ahead and brushed her hair away from her shoulders to expose the mark Scorpius had left on her skin. She lowered her eyes. 'Besides, Scorpius didn't deny it when I asked him about it.'
Lily's eyes widened. 'Scorpius? He knows that you know? That's why he was like that at the training.'
'So this is what, an office romance now?'
'Albus, let me explain.'
'Explain what? That you and my best friend were fooling me all this while.'
'That's not true. We got together last night.....there was nothing between us before that.' Lily tried to explain.
'Wow! So you got into a guy's bed within minutes of getting into a relationship with him. How noble!' He said in disgust.
'Albus! Don't say things which you'll regret later.' Lily said and tried to hold his hand but he withdrew it with force.
'Don't touch me! I don't even want to see your face right now!' He shouted at Lily for the first time in his life and she couldn't hold back her tears. She never expected this kind of outburst from her brother.
'Albus I'm so sorry.' She went on to hold him again but this time he pushed her with a little to much force and she fell on the nearby desk, hitting her forehead.
Before she could get up, someone came into the room and slapped Albus right across the face. It was none other than her elder brother James. She got up immediately but by the time both of them had already grabbed each other's collars.
'Are you out of your mind? Is this how you treat your sister?' James said, his eyes livid.
'This is between me and her. Stay away from this.' Albus said, his voice dangerously low.
'I don't care what this is about, but you have absolutely no right to treat Lily this way.'
'Please both of you calm down. James this was my mistake. Al was angry and I should've left him alone...' Lily tried to pacify her brothers.
'Stop defending him.' James told her.
'Yes. Stop it. I don't want to you to ever talk to me again.' Albus said looking at Lily with disgust.
'Al...' Lily's tears fell uncontrollably.
'What is it? Huh? Who do you think you are not to talk to her? She should avoid a brother like you!' James spat those words at Albus.
'You have no idea what this is about...' Albus warned James.
'Yes I have no idea what this is about. But you know about what I have an idea?' James looked directly into Albus's eyes and continued, 'About you and Wood.' That's when Albus loosened his grip on James collar and finally withdrew his hands.
'How do you know?' Albus asked.
'That's not the point. The point is, why in the whole freaking world you have to date Thomas Wood, my rival.'
'I can date whoever I want to. You stay out of my personal life.' This was when Lily scoffed.
'You surely are a hypocrite.' She said.
'No I'm not. There is a difference between who I'm dating and who you're dating.'
'Hold on, you're dating someone?' James asked Lily who looked away. 'Is this why both of you were fighting?'
'Now that you know. Leave my room.' Albus shoved James outside the door but James came back inside.
'Even if she is dating and you don't like it. You shouldn't have pushed her.'
'Stop telling me what to do and what not to do. It's not like you're the ideal brother here.' Albus mocked.
'What is that supposed to mean?'
'At least I'm in a relationship with someone. I don't go around fucking every female that comes my way!' Albus said and James held his collar again.
'You think you're a saint. If that's the case then why the fuck you're boyfriend doesn't let anyone know that he's dating you.' James knew he'd hit a spot but so did Albus had.
'Shut up!'
'Why? He treats you like a game, plays with you whenever he wants and then moves on to the next one when he gets bored. Then when he gets bored form them, he comes back to you and you like a coward take him back. If nothing have some spine Albus!' This angered Albus because he knew it was the truth and it stung. So without thinking he punched James in the face, making his lips bleed. That's when Lily realized it was time to involve their parents and she ran down to call them.
Halfway down the stairs she yelled, 'Mom! Dad! J and Al are fighting!' harry and Ginny rushed out the kitchen in worry.
'Lily what happened?' Ginny asked in concern.
'James and Albus, they're fighting.' Lily said catching her breath. Harry rushed up the stairs, with Ginny following him. Both of them entered Albus's room and saw both their sons on the floor, grappling each other. Harry intervened but couldn't separate them, so Ginny stepped in and shouted, 'Stop it!'
And that was enough for the boys to freeze in their spots. Lily who saw the sight in front of her realized that what was worse than a lover's quarrel was siblings quarrel for now things were about to go down and whole family was going to be involved.
