"What did you do to her?!" he thundered grabbing the witch's wrist tightly.
"I did nothing but try to wake her up. She will be fine soon," she replied calmly despite the dangerous aura surrounding the Duke and the killing intent in his eyes.
"She does not look alright at all," the Duke said tightening his grip on her wrist.
"I am not a doctor."
"You are clearly the person who told her to go to such a dangerous place and try to something that she won't be able to accomplish.
"It was definitely a plot to kill her," the Duke accused her further tightening his grip with clear intention to hurt the witch before him badly.
"Who told you that?" she asked him while meeting his gaze. "You clearly said she has not spoken to you since she arrived except asking about her maid."
"If you didn't then who did?" he asked her loosening his grip on her wrist when he realized he really did not have any evidence.
"You should send her back to the capital. That is the only place she will be able to get better. She has to be with her blood related family."
"What gives you the right to tell me that?" he asked with disdain in his tone. He wondered what gave a sorcerer the guts to speak to him in such a way.
"It is up to you make the decision. She still belongs to her family until the hand her over to your family for her punishment.
"Her uncle also has the right as king to choose whether to let her got to your family or not."
The Duke scoffed angrily as he swung her hand off his grip and exhaled.
She was obviously pissing him off and that was because he knew what she said was the pure truth.
Rose on her bed closed her eyes and sighed. She had no idea why she felt so weak and unable to control her body but she decided to believe that she will somehow get better.
She did not speak and she prayed for sleep to take her away from the chaos. She thought of the punishment the witch was talking about.
She left with the awareness and permission of her uncle so why should she get punished by the Duke's family.
She knew very well about the tradition of punishing a runaway soon-to-be bride. She was never going to let the family of the Duke punish her for any reason.
She might not have behaved as a noble lady for a lot of reasons but she knew more than anyone that she was a princess and she also knew her right as a princess very well.
A few nobles have got such punishment in the past but she was never going to stoop so low to let her uncle release her to the Duke's family to get punished.
She rather dies than get punished by a set of people with lower ranks than hers. No princess in history has suffered such punishment, she won't be the first.
On her mind with her lips sealed, she swore that she was going to kill anyone who tries to hurt her when she has clearly being hurt already by this whole mission.

The alpha rolled on the soft bedding on his bed in his palace and opened his eyes. He furrowed his brow while rubbing his eyes angrily.
He wondered why the dream had to stop half way. He was enjoying her company; she was after all a beautiful woman. His wolf was happy to he could almost see him wagging his tail.
When he remembered the scene he met when he found her in the forest, he rubbed his eyes harder unhappily.
He has being watching her closely for a while now when he heard them tell him the princess of the kingdom he hated most glows just like his mate in the prophecy given to him by the oracle.
His pack had divisions among them about his mate. He knew from the moment he hugged her that she was his.
She was his woman. She was the woman his mother has sent to keep him company.
He reached for the wound on his chest that was taking its time to get healed. This was the first time since he was experiencing such pain.
He felt hurt both emotionally and physically. He thought he was ready for what will happen but he was wrong.
When she stabbed him, the pain he felt was real and he bleed furiously. He expected her blade to be extraordinary but he did not expect such pain.
It was as though millions of ants where crawling in his chest. Her knife pierced through his heart. He actually felt like he was going to die.
For the first since he discovered his power that was the first time he got scared. He was scared that he was going to die. He almost literally felt his soul seep out of his body.
If he knew that was the type of pain he was going to face, he would never have chosen to let her do it to him.
When the oracle told him he will never be able to go against her, he had clearly said that was not possible.
It actually sounded impossible for a strong Alpha and King like him to be under the control of a young woman centuries younger than him.
He was a man who had any woman he wanted at any time but a woman, unfortunately, the woman was the most beautiful woman he has ever seen after centuries of travelling far and wild, made him agree to get stabbed without hesitation.
She made him unconscious and unable to offer a very important sacrifice to the moon goddess, the mother and savior of all werewolves.
She made him miss such an important event and fight for his life for the first time in his over-flourishing life.
She made him feel weak and he did not like that at all. He groaned with his fist clinched. She really had some guts.
He knew from his spies that she here to avenge the death of her parents it is a pity that she did not know where she truly belonged.
