"I am very sorry, Randell, if we have to do this instead of attending your graduation." His mother hugged him tightly while apologizing.

The three of them are in front of the thick metal door again, isolating him as usual while waiting for the full moon to pass.

His parents look at him more worriedly the more he tries to act okay. They thought that Randell was just acting strong so that they wouldn't get worried, but in reality, Randell has had no problem being isolated ever since he got close to Nida. 

Randell loved this particular week of the month because it was the only week he could get close to Nida.
