The ghost stared at Yu Holea, his form flickering between the angry, monstrous visage and his original, innocent appearance.
He hesitated, and slowly, his twisted features softened back into those of a little boy, confused but still wary.
Yu Holea's calm voice was like a soothing balm. "See? No harm, just a talk. I won't exorcise you or hurt you, but I need you to listen."
The boy's black eyes blinked at her, trying to gauge her sincerity. He finally nodded, still trembling slightly.
Yu Holea gently patted the space beside her on the sofa. "Sit here. It's okay."
The ghost looked at her hand, then at the sofa, and hesitantly floated down to sit.
He still looked ready to flee at any moment, his gaze flickering nervously to Mrs. Ye.
"Miss Yu, what are you doing? You have to exorcise the ghost!" Mrs. Ye shouted at the top of her lungs.
"Noisy." Yu Holea frowned and flicked a talisman at Mrs. Ye.
