Qiao Jun sighed heavily on the other end of the call, clearly reluctant to show himself.
"Lea, you don't need to go to such lengths," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I just don't want you to worry."
"I'm already worried," Yu Holea replied firmly. "Now, show me your face."
There was a moment of hesitation before Qiao Jun finally shifted his phone to let the light fall on his face.
Yu Holea's heart clenched at the sight. Qiao Jun looked pale and exhausted, with dark circles under his eyes.
"Jun, what happened?" she asked, her voice softening with concern.
Qiao Jun smiled,
"Nothing I just had a nightmare."
"What nightmare?" Yu Holea asked in a concerned voice.
For some reason, Yu Holea remembered the nightmare she had when she was in Capital City.
"Nothing."
"I want you to share it!" Yu Holea said. Her expression was stern and it was clear that she wouldn't take no for an answer.
