章 26: Being framed (part three)

Reina ran towards the prison searching for the one who tried to kill her. It was great that the person was in jail, that way she could handle Marcus and his accomplice all at the same time.

She moved fast and arrived at the first floor of the prison. The soldiers all stood and bowed in respect to her. "My lady, a queen shouldn't run around the palace," her lady in waiting whispered to her.

She smiled at her, she knew that already. But it was hard to keep up with appearances when someone wanted her dead. She was eager to catch the culprit and her honor seemed to fade in comparison to the urgency of finding the one who attempted to harm her.

"I want to take a look around," she said in her calm authoritative voice.

"My lady, you are too weak to be doing this," her lady cautioned. She glared at her to shut up. She was never too weak to get even with someone. And anyone who thought that was a fool.
