It had been years since I heard from Azure. Sometimes I saw him in my dreams, but that was nothing unusual. He was an object of a nightmare for me. Because of him, Reece was dead. Because of him, Ava was gone and Evelyn hated me. She hated how my kids got to grow up while she had no idea where her daughter was. She absolutely hated it when Bree was born. She hated how I had a daughter when hers was missing.

I could not blame her for any of that. She blamed me and I understood her. Hell, even I blamed myself.

The moment Dion used the word 'possessed', I knew that Azure did it. What he was doing all these years, I had no idea. Sixteen years, to be exact. I had not heard even a word from him in sixteen years. Now, all of a sudden, he was back. I had been anticipating this for years. Not even for a moment I stopping thinking about his return. I knew he would be back. And he would be back with much more preparation than before.
