"He needs to be destroyed," Melina said urgently. 

"Who?" I asked. "That small child who is not even a month old?" 

I could not keep the mockery from my voice. 

"He is dangerous. You don't understand. I can see it. His future. He is… dangerous."

I looked at Melina, a woman in her mid-twenties. She was a dark mage, but one that hated Azure. Azure killed her brother who was also a dark mage. The reason was never clear. But I guessed it was just a random thing. 

Melina had a very special power. She, although very rarely, could have visions of the future. 

"He will be the death of many," Melina said. "We must get rid of him."

"I am not killing my sister's son," I said. 

"Your sister's son, but he is dangerous. You must understand, Cyan," she pressed. "I also don't want to kill a child. But we have no choice."
