Ellora moved to the other woman—Leroy's mother and her aunt—she hugged her too, and Ellora burst into another round of tears.

"I am sorry, Ellora," her aunt said and turned silent. After several seconds, she opened her lips again. "Have you seen Leroy?" She paused and Ellora remained silent in her embrace. "The next few years will be hard on you, as if it hadn't been already."
