Lara wanted to give up, even though she was so close to finishing.

Lara had no strength left in her body. Her palms were numbed, eyes were sunken, her throat sore, and her mind was fuzzy with all the fighting. She didn't even have the strength to fight a monster half her level. The armament defence had broken half an hour ago, and though the monsters came in low numbers, she barely held it against them. 

She had to hold on a little longer, her mind told her, but her body barely listened. With her experience on the few occasions she had, she knew it was only before the last moment did the storm rise to its full potential.

A Whirlpool of wind rose behind her, surging the water into a frightening tornado. It only rose from there as if sucking all the power behind the storm. Lightning burst, thunder roared, her ears were already numbed to listen to that. The vortex rose ten metres above the water, still rising and coming at her.
