"Yingying."
Upon hearing that voice, Xie Wanying turned around.
In the crowd, that handsome face often carried a charming dimple, his smile blooming like springtime across the city.
"Senior Cao," Xie Wanying couldn't help but curve her lips into a smile, thinking to herself that it was hard not to smile back at Senior Cao's laughter.
Clutching the coat hanging over his arm and dressed in a gray-and-brown striped shirt with a blue knitted vest, Cao Yong approached her, looking every bit the refined scholar. Standing before her, he asked in a gentle voice, "Have you had enough to eat?"
"I have," Xie Wanying replied.
"Heading back to the dorm?" asked Cao Yong.
"No, heading back to the department. There's a patient I need to see," Xie Wanying informed her senior. "Have you eaten, Senior Cao?"
"Not yet," Cao Yong said, thinking to himself that if he had known he would run into her, he would have come earlier. He then asked, "Did you eat alone?"
"Yes," Xie Wanying answered.
