Chapter 6

End of recollection - Present day

"Yep, that's the sad story of my life." Rose said she as walked to her balcony with her diaries, her most treasure possession, in her hands.

Crazy things was that back then in the hospital, she had done her twelve birthday in a comma; yeah, the temporary became not so temporary because it took her a year to open her eyes.

Although she was in a coma, she was still conscious, but the only trick was that she couldn't open her eyes or speak.

Neither her sister nor mother paid her a visit during her stay in the hospital. Only her father stayed by her side, and that was why she loved and respected him no matter what he was doing to her up till now.

From there she had found out that her uncle had left a few days after they admitted her to the hospital, and six months later Mrs. Lola also left because her mother was sick. That, of course, was probably a lie;

From then on, Rose vowed to take revenge, to make her mother pay for everything that had happened to her. She was going to make her regret ever been alive and letting her survive that incident; she was going to hate and loath her just as much as she did her.

Her own mother had tried to kill her for something she didn't do; "I will never forgive her, never; as long as her, I leave." Just then, a knock came on her door. "Yes, what is it?"

"Good evening, miss. Rose, your father is back and dinner is ready as well." The maid replied to her

"Oh, thanks. I will be there shortly." She answered

"Okay." The maid responded, and left

Her father was back, "time to put on a smiling face." Rose said as she clean the tears in her eyes, one she didn't even notice; she has to be strong. Smiling into the mirror, not wanting to dwell on her Sad past, went downstairs; she had a feeling that today's dinner was going to be interesting.

When I arrived at the dinning, father, Gloria, and her husband were already seated, the only person not here yet was mother. I greeted father, who just nodded at me,

"This looks delicious, I'm starving." I raised up her head. "Can I dig in now, father?" I asked with a pleading look on my face, cause there was a law, everyone must be completely seated before you eat, but I would like to eat now, before the trouble comes; she could not eat well this morning because of the arguments.

But instead of her father, Gloria was the one who replied her "Mother is not here yet, let's wait for her." She suggested to Dad.

"I wasn't asking you." Rose replied through clutch teeth as the bitch continued chatting with her husband, completely ignoring her. She could not say further because her father was there.

Signing out loud, Mr. John watches his daughters for a second, and then said "you can eat, since your mother is not here yet, and we can't wait until the food gets cold."

"But dad….." Gloria said, but was shut off by her father

"Just eat." He said jadedly,

Mrs. Vivian Black checked her watch. It's been thirty minutes since the maid informed about dinner. She had purposely remained inside, to know that without her sited no one was eating, most especially that gold digger of a child; this was her punishment for this morning, but she still intended to report it to her father. They need to get that child away from this house or even throw her away. She had such a plan, but was surprise to see that they had started without her. With the satisfied look on Rose's face, she could tell she was the one who started it, but she swallowed her anger and just sat down.

"You guys couldn't wait a minute more?" the maid dishes some food out her

"Sorry mom." Gloria said, then added, "Rose was persistent, so father had to allow her."

"I see." She replied jadedly,

Rose looks at her sister with disgust. "Yes, I was hungry, so I asked father, and he allowed me Gloria, just me; why are you eating then? You could have waited, right?" I said and grin

Gloria just stared with no comeback but when she said something, father stopped her

"Enough both of you, just eat." Dad commanded,

So we eat in silent, and for once; dinner was peaceful, or so I thought. Until mother opened her mouth to destroy the peaceful atmosphere, since things weren't going around for her.

"Gloria."

"Yes, mother."

"Did you tell your father already about the rakus; Rose had caused this morning?" she asked, sipping her wine

"Hmmm oh, no I haven't." Gloria said, glancing at my direction

Rose twitched in her chair. They had a plan to inform father about this morning; delicate move, but she was not afraid. The one thing she loved about the man was that no matter; what he hears about you, he always asked for your side of the story.

"What happened?" John looked at his wife, and then at Gloria, who remained silent; turning to Rose, he repeated, "what did you do again? Rose."

I stared back at father. The reason mom didn't press further was because she wanted dad to ask me himself and knowing that I respected him so much, I could never lie to him, but she was wrong; I respected and am always truthful to my beloved father, but not in this situation.

"Honestly Dad." Rose continued with an innocent expression "I don't know, I mean, mom is going to tell us right? The crime I committed because even I can't remember." Turned to her mother with a smudged smile. "So mother, please, tell dad 'DETAIL LY' about what happened." With a devilish grin on my face, daring my shock mother to continue if she can; she turned to Gloria, who had gone pale and smiled,

Gloria knew fully well that, if her father find out about what she herself had done on that very counter, hell is going to break loose, this won't be about her stupid sister, but about her, and she wanted nothing to dent the good imagine of her father already has.

She enjoys being the only good, and well behave child in the family, so there was no need for her mother to mention this morning incident but knowing her mother; she probably has a lot planned out and how to deal with Rose, which was okay by her.

She quickly added, "Oh mom, it's alright, it was just a brief argument between sisters." Looking at her mother with a pleading eyes, Gloria continued, "so I am not bothered at all."

Rose looked at them both disgustingly, added "yeah, thanks big sister, you are amazing." She continued eating, but her mother had a lot planned.

"I wasn't talking about that, Gloria."

"Oh, right, the other thing." Good, she has another plan.

Rose stopped halfway with juice in hand. What are there talking about? She wondered; nothing else had happened, or did it?

Mrs. Black, seeing the confused look on Rose's face, smiled and continued, "Early, I had to receive a call from her school. They had a lot to complied; one, was when one of the teacher try to punish her because of the things she did wrong, in a fit she destroyed her phone…"

In a fit, she says? Rose stood up. "That's not true." She hit the table.

"Enough Rose." John angrily blurted out

"But father….."

"I said shut up and never interrupt your mother like that when she is talking, am I clear?"

"Crystal dad." She could see the pleased look on her mother's face, as she continued.

"And they found three pack of cigars with her and when they confronted her again, she stopped coming to school; I tried asking her about this, and where she always goes, when she leaves for school, but as always she insulted me, then Gloria; something needs to be done about this girl before she put this family in trouble." She lied.

Turning to the now shocked Rose, "is that true, Rose." But before she could reply, her mom cut in

"You don't need to ask her again. I just told you what the teachers said, and they also called you, didn't they?" she asked furiously.

"Yes, they did, but….."

"No buts honey… this how you always spoil her, and now there is no remedy for her; am afraid."

Signing out loud, it exhausted John. Of these reports from her school, it was hard to know which of them actually happened, which was why he had blocked all their contacts; who would have thought they will call his wife "Rose, what did I say to you if I hear any evil report from your school?"

EVIL? "But I father, I didn't ..." I tried to explain, but it was infertile

"Enough." He raises his hand, cutting her off. "What did I tell you?"

"That I would be grounded, with my card, car and laptop taken away from me," I answered through clutch teeth

"And don't forget her phone." Mrs. Black reminded her husband, feeling content. Things were finally going her way, and now she could enjoy her dinner.

"Good, after dinner, handle everything over to your mother." He had decided.

Yes, I loved her father because of the way he decides, and tries to sort out things on his own but the one thing I also hate about him was that whenever her mother decides, whether it's favors him or not, he always agrees to it.

Rose stood up from the dinner table. She lost her appetite. "Can I be excuse?" she asked her father

John just stares at his daughter for a while, and pondered if she hated be punished, why was she always putting herself and doing things that will only bring more punishment; she is no longer a kid "yes, you can go." He signed; tied

Rose ran upstairs, causing and ranting, "that witch might have won the war, but she hasn't won the battle." She went into her room to strategize a plan to frustrate her mother.

The remaining days for Rose went on peacefully, and she dared to enjoy it, making a plan that will enable her to escape this house.
