“Don’t think about Adam. He’s not worth it, and he’s not here. Focus on you and enjoying yourself.”

“I’ll try.” Philip rubbed his hands over his face. “Have you been in that position where someone you cared about betrayed you?”

“A couple of times.”

“How did you overcome it?”

Michael smiled. That smile had Philip’s cock stiffening even more.

“I had Aiden to help me out. He’s always had my back.”

There were hurrying footsteps and Philip looked up to see Aiden coming back into the room, carrying a long, slim box wrapped in the same garish paper Aiden had used to cover all of the presents they had opened earlier in the day.

Philip recognized the shape of the box. It was a board game. Aiden had given him a board game?

At least a game of monopoly was better than nothing to distract him from an ungrateful ex.

“Here you go.” Aiden laid the box in Philip’s lap, giving him a sly grin. “Another little extra. I thought this would be good for after-dinner entertainment.”
