“I don’t think Mom’s going to make it, despite her new doctor and a new treatment plan. This is our Hail Mary pass.” Gray wiped his eyes with his sleeve.
“Here…” Enzo pulled out his linen handkerchief.
Gray took the handkerchief. “I’m sorry. This is the first time I’ve lost it. It just makes me so frustrated and angry that she could have received such a different quality of care if I had known. I feel stupid for not asking Keith or Zach about the booklet explaining the insurance coverage.”
“If it makes you feel any better, the person responsible for withholding the information is riding in the back of a police car, and Keith is following it to press charges for grand larceny. Since Keith has him on tape, he should do some time.”
