Joshua opened the door and stood next to it. “Don’t make him wait too long, man. You may be all right with the lack of sex, but not all men can do it.”

David raised his middle fingers at Joshua, who guffawed in return before exiting the office. As he packed his stuff up, he did his best not to let Joshua’s warning bother him, but he couldn’t shake it off. He thought about it almost incessantly as he made his way to his car and again on the drive back to his apartment. By the time he was ready for the date, it was five minutes to seven o’clock. Tobias fetched him with one minute to spare. He got into his boyfriend’s car and surprised Tobias with a passionate kiss. Tobias seemed rather dazed by the time they broke apart.

“Damn…” Tobias sounded husky when he spoke. “I have no idea what got into you, but you can kiss me like that anytime you like.”

David could feel his cheeks heating up. “Hey.”

“Hey, Dave.”

“So…”

“Yeah.”
