Silas Nelson stared after Ransom Burke’s secretary as he walked out of his office. He’d been looking for an excuse to get that…that homosexualout of here, and now it looked like he’d found it. Burke had had a wild hair about his employees dating—something Silas felt was best left to the discretion of each department head—but in this instance it was going to prove ideal. Rutledge had handed Silas exactly what he wanted on a silver platter. Stupid boy.

Silas rubbed his hands together. This was perfect. He reached for his phone and dialed the CEO’s private line.

“Yes?” Burke sounded tired. Well, that wasn’t his affair.

“It’s Nelson, Mr. Burke. We have a situation here.”

“Talk to van Heusen about it.”

Dammit, why did the man never take him seriously? “I’m afraid you’re the only one who can deal with this. It concerns your—”

“What?” Burke cut him off before he could give him the shocking news. “Look, Nelson, do you know where I am?”
