“I have no idea what’s going on between them, babe. I swear.”

Pablo nodded. “Okay. That’s weird, though. David is the friendliest and nicest guy among your group of friends.”

“I know, right?”

There was a momentary tension around the table. Keenan was grateful when Joshua cracked a silly joke, and all his other friends joined in with a bunch of even lamer jokes. He still had no clue what was really going on between David and Tobias, but he couldn’t be bothered at that moment. Besides, David and Tobias were now seated on opposite ends of the table, and they were pointedly ignoring each other. Keenan observed Tobias’s actions for the next hour or so as he resumed snuggling with Pablo on the couch. He almost choked on his beer when he had an epiphany. Pablo snickered softly next to him.

“You got it, too?”

Keenan laughed under his breath. “Oh, yeah! I have no clue when those two got to know each other, but Toby is in love with Dave. Holy shit!”
