Less than half an hour later, he parked the car next to the curb and turned off the engine. He whistled under his breath as he admired the road and the houses on both sides. The houses were more like mini palaces. They were massive, and Darwin had no doubt he wouldn’t be able to even afford the down payment on the cheapest house in this area.

He also noticed several cars being parked along the curbs. They were luxurious cars, which he could only dream of. He was beginning to feel shabby and poor. He hated to imagine what the future would be like because he wouldn’t be able to provide both Kellan and Endymion with such an expensive lifestyle. His business might be doing all right, and he wasn’t destitute, but he wished he could give them a better life. That was also dependent upon the three of them staying together for the rest of their lives. He was taken aback when he felt a gentle squeeze on his shoulder. It was Kellan.
