章 95: Chapter 95

The figures on the bed had scrambled back away from me. Yes. It was good that they feared me, that they bothfeared me.

With a single easy bound, I leapt onto the bed with them. My mate needed to be punished. Perhaps, after I had him in abject submission on his belly under me, bloody and beaten, perhaps then I would forgive him. But first I would destroy the other one, the one who stole what was mine.

I gathered myself to attack this upstart, when, to my utter shock, my mate threw himself in front of the other, to protect him! How could that be?

I curled my lips, revealing my sharp fangs. Very well, then I would destroy him, as well.

I bounded toward hewho should have been my mate and snapped my jaws shut, but it was just short of his throat, and I growled in frustration. The other had pulled him back out of my reach.

The movement caused the silver chain around my mate’s neck to swing free, and it struck me across my cheek and muzzle.
