“You would have thought I told her I clubbed baby seals in my spare time. I told her two days after Christmas and we haven’t spoken since.”
“Damn,” I said. Lena and I do not always see eye to eye but I could not imagine not talking to her.
“Yeah, I know,” she said, blowing a stream of smoke into the air. She sighed and for a moment her eyes clouded over with sadness then a slow smile crept over her face.
“We all can’t be perfect daughters, I guess,” Erica said.
