“Without Garou Industries, the mob’s legitimate businesses will fail. I think they might fail anyway for taking your brother’s life.” Rémy gave Ian a tight smile.

“You have that kind of juice?” Ian asked, incredulous.

“More than you know.”

Ian didn’t know what to make of his current situation. Rémy was right. He knew that if Sal Ferrara wanted his ass, he’d move heaven and earth to get it. Plus, Sal had leverage in the form of the IOUs that Billy had signed. Rémy offered him an out, and even if he didn’t keep his word about not pressuring him for sex, he was attracted to Rémy, so it wouldn’t be that bad.

Sal Ferrara was well known for his rough dealings. Even the street whores wouldn’t go near him unless forced. Ian didn’t want to become his latest sex toy. He’d seen some of the girls Sal had loved. One was in the hospital for eight weeks and still had a limp. If he could get the goods on Sal, all of Queens would stand up and cheer.
