章 14: Chapter 14: The Ability To Turn The Clock
"What did you say?"
"Someone actually wanted to take this mediocre kid?"
The god smiled.
"Alas my life is coming to an end and I have yet to find a successor."
"You remind me of myself when I was young especially the part about your body being younger than your mind."
I stared at him with shock, how did he know?
More importantly, how did none of the other gods know?
He smiled again.
"I shall formally introduce myself."
"I am The God Of Time!"
Everyone was shocked, even the Arena God raised his eyebrows.
No one expected such a big shot to be dying soon.
To me though, this made no sense.
If he was the god of time, why didn't he just reverse time to when he was at his prime.
Sensing my confusion, the god chuckled.
"I can't do that, not anymore."
"Ever since I stripped my world of it's time, I could not wield my abilities."
"That's why I shall hand it to you."
I hesitated.
This was a gods ability, would I be able to handle it.
I nodded and said, "Please bestow me with your abilities."
He smiled before slowly getting up.
His body began to float toward me even though he never moved from his position.
When he reached me, turning his head around, he said.
"None of you can harm this boy as he will wield the power of time."
"If you do, irreversible damage will be inflicted upon you."
Placing his finger on his forehead, he started the transfer.
A somewhat soothing feeling came upon me before suddenly erupting into a burning pain.
It felt like my body was reversing into it's younger self.
Through this, I remembered some of my memories from when I was younger.
Looking at my father again, I realized that he had an uncanny resemblance to me.
Was it just because of my genes?
Feeling disturbed, I shook it off.
Continuing with the transfer, another spasm of pain came upon me.
This time I grew older and saw some memories of me in the future.
The man in the memory held a box in his hand before he opened it.
[Split]
My eyes widened, that was indeed me.
But why did he look so much like my father?
After that memory, I came back to the present.
Shaking my head, I checked out my new abilities.
[End Of Time]
[Ability Description: {Forcefully ends the time around you and makes everything reach the end of their life. At it's base level, it can only slightly increase the age of the item. Achieving full mastery will allow you to freely control the time of any item.}]

[Temporal Removal]
[Ability Description: {Sends something back in time but every time you use it, a thing equal to what you sent back in time will be lost. This thing will never appear again as it will be wiped from existence by the time warp.}]
I looked in amazement, these two skills were way too strong!
Looking up, I saw the Time God's body had wrinkled and he was sweating.
"Seems like this is where I'll die." He said to himself.
With difficulty, he moved next to my ear and whispered to me.
"Your power will continue to grow."
"Make good use of it."
"And w-whatever you do."
"Don't make t-the same m-mistake that I di-."
His body disappeared right in front of my eyes.
The gods were stunned.
One of their kind had died.
