章 126: An Emergency

(From Ella's Perspective)

Leandro left after he got a letter. Anders seemed to know that he had come here to meet me. The letter stated that it was an emergency. Leandro said that the king's shifters had attacked one of their places. And it was quite extreme. 

I was scared. What if something happened to Leandro? But I did not show much of my worry because I knew he would not like that. I kissed him goodbye and told him to stay safe. 

My stomach made a grumbling noise. I had not eaten in a while and we did it nonstop since noon. My energy was completely drained out. 

I put on my nightgown and slowly made my way downstairs. My legs were shaking and my downer part hurt every time I took a step. 

"Jeez... I knew this would happen...," I grumbled under my breath. 

"Your father sent you a letter," Jasper said as soon as I went into the kitchen. "What happened to your legs?"

"Oh, really? Give it to me," I said.
