He opened his eyes and stared at my wrist before setting it down. I stared at him but he wouldn’t make eye contact with me.

His eyes finally shift my way “Why did you get this tattoo here?” He asked as he pointed to my stomach.

I shrugged, “I don't know,” He furrowed his eyebrows at me “I was eighteen when I got it.” I yawned.

He closed the space between us “Why?”

I stared at my stomach then at the ceiling “I wanted a tattoo so I got this one.” I answered, hoping I didn’t sound irritated.
