章 250: Ch 37 - Splitting the Sky

The faces of Shangguan Tianyang and Shangguan Tianyue were pretty ugly to see at the moment.

They were clearly familiar with the character of Shangguan Xue'er, clear that she would never show off or aggrandize anyone. So, for her to state that his move parted the sky in half, left them speechless.

It was not his mistake and his words sounded like a decent explanation of whatever transpired back then.

Even the others seemed to agree with him.

Shangguan Xue'er didn't speak and summoned her sword. Instantly a terrifying sword intent surged out of her body, cutting through the air and ascending to the skies.

She silently walked over to the balcony and moved her hand, slashing at the sky.

"Sovereign Art First Sword: Sky Splitting Sword!"

*Whoosh-*

A bright light flashed causing everyone to cover their eyes as a sharp sword slash flew out and penetrated the skies.

Shangguan Tianyang gazed at the sky and his body trembled, causing him to jump to his feet as he stared at Xue'er's back with wide eyes and his jaw hanging in the air.

Shangguan Tianyue was left speechless with a gaping mouth, gazing at the crack in the sky with a dumbfounded expression.

If the two top-tier experts had such reactions, then one could wonder about the reactions of the juniors.

Shangguan Fei'er couldn't keep herself on her feet, plopping down on the ground, her face pale.

Zhan Lingtian was frozen in his spot, like a sculpture with a funny face, with no idea how to react.

Shangguan Longyin's beard danced in the air, his old eyes shot wide, disbelief written all over his face.

The crack only stayed on the sky for a few seconds before it vanished and everything returned to normal but it was enough to give the Palace Master of the strongest Saint Lands the shock of his lifetime.

Even Shangguan Tinayue who was just saying that Jason must have fooled his daughter would be unable to recover from this shock for a long time, believing in everything his daughter had told them just now.

Shangguan Xue'er plopped down on the ground, supporting her weak body. The sword had vanished, returning back to her Physical jewel.

The move had taken a huge toll on her body and over half of her heavenly energy was depleted by the first sword but she had a small smile of satisfaction plastered on her cold face.

She turned her head and asked. "Does anyone still believe that the sky cannot be split by a sword? Master was right. All the experts in this world are delusional by the things they can see and fail to grasp the core of cultivation... No wonder, since so many years, the number of experts at Heavenly God and above are very few."

She shook her head and sighed in regret.

Shangguan Tiamyang rubbed his temple, feeling a headache coming from the situation.

"Lady Xue'er, I think you should listen to the Palace Master and Vice Palace Master. What's the point of everything when you're hurting your own family?" Zhan Lingtian spoke softly to Xue'er, very careful with his words.

Shangguan Xue'er didn't even glance at him, ignoring him entirely as she said to Tianyue. "Your reaction mirrored the Mother's reaction, Father. She was also very displeased when she learned about the bet, even storming to Hades's residence to demand an answer."

A small smile appeared on the corner of Xue'er's cold face like a beautiful flower blooming when she talked about that.

"Your... mother? You... You've met your Mother? Where is she? Tell me quickly!..." Shangguan Tianyue was dumbfounded again, his emotions agitated to learn that piece of news. He grabbed her shoulders and asked.
