Ren was jolted awake in the middle of the night by a smooth, cold something sliding up his arm. If he hadn't been accustomed to this sensation from his previous life, he would certainly have screamed instead of subconsciously recognising the culprit as his former familiar and now eldest daughter Sylvia.
"Sylvia? What's wrong?" Ren asked softly, speaking in a low voice to avoid waking Fang up. Fang had lately been suffering from nightmares – and although the frequency had reduced since the incident at the press conference, it was not yet gone.
Dr. Gordon had also taken to dropping by twice a week to drag Fang out for a 'chat' – which, Ren had no doubt, was more a therapy session than a chat. They had to resort to this because Fang insisted that he was perfectly fine and it was just a reaction which would pass over time, and refused to go for any therapy.
I'm back! Thank you everyone for your wishes - unfortunately, I'll still be a bit slow until mid-March, it seems.
But I do have a coin code for my readers - here you go: ABABHDR4V8NQ3JUA. So, another one got a WPC bronze prize - and this is the reward. It's limited use, so the early birds would get the worm!
Special thanks to Arisu_103 for the massage chair and Snowraven for the inspiration capsule!! Big thanks to Weesh for the pizza, too!
Also thanking Nadine_Linter, KuhakuTime, Zefunie, and Claire_Brice for the ice-colas!
I'm very, very grateful for all the gifts, and thank you so, so much! You've made me feel so much better!
