章 9: Impermanent injuries
Ken opened his eyes, feeling sore all over his body... again.
"Ugh", he got up as his sliced body seemingly absorbing elements around him, regenerating his left leg and half his face, which looked nasty at this moment with charred and burnt skin. It gradually heals and in just a moment, he's fully healed.
"That wasn't very polite... Guess I will visit them later, for now, I will just continue my training.", He said as he sat in the lotus position and tried using the flow inside him this time.

Meanwhile, the dualcopter arrived at the armed base, the base was shaped as simple as a huge cube with many watchtowers and landing pads, with a forcefield all around it acting as a shield, one of the spots on the forcefield opened and the dualcopter entered.
The dualcopter landed in a landing pot with many mechanical arms that grabbed it when it got close. Two short men, one young and the other old walked outside it casually.
As the young one walked away the old one stopped and said, "can you wait here? I have somewhere to go"
"Huh? Then I will go with you", the young one said.
"No, you have to report to them, describe everything, tell them to attack the place... no, send Derunt towards that place", The old one said with a solemn expression.
Seeing this, the young one was surprised, "dad? You don't mean..."
"I made myself clear", the old one said while walking back to the dualcopter.
"No way! I won't let you", the youth said as he chased the old man.
"CHARLES!", The old man shouted.
Charles then stopped, and a sad look appeared on his face. "I won't let you sacrifice yourself dad", he then said seriously.
"There is a chance that he is still there, I noticed an energy fluctuation from there since I activated my googles, and at the end, while most of it has dissipated, there was still a considerable amount there, so it's impossible that monster had died. Hell, he wasn't even an elf", the old one said while facing his son. He then turned around and entered the dualcopter. "Relay my message or I will die in vain", He said as he departed.
Charles was just standing there, and at that moment he was just imagining, just how strong someone could be to withstand a rocket's power? He then snapped and ran towards the others.
As he opened the broadcasting room, he quickly ran towards the microphone and pushed a button, entered a passcode, He then shouted, "THIS IS CHARLES FROM SECTOR 10R, ENSUING EMERGENCY, LEVEL 5 ENTITY IS LOCATED, SEND DERUNT AT THE COORDINATE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, I REPEAT, LEVEL 5 EMERGENCY IS LOCATED, SEND DERUNT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!", he shouted as he entered the coordinate where Ken was at on a screen where it showed up in everyone's device.
Instantly after, everyone in the facility heard the broadcast and rushed to where Derunt was at.
The broadcast was also sent to the higher-ups in the headquarter and told their men to go to this outpost for reinforcement.
Meanwhile, they themselves quickly did an emergency group call and their hologram appeared one by one in a meeting room,
"How's this possible, a level 5 entity without any sign?", one of the higher-ups was suspicious.
"Let's just see if what he said is true, after all, a level 5 entity is no joke and unless one is seeking death, they wouldn't lie about something like that.", another one said.
They're all pondering with a serious face, but if one were to see this meeting, they would think this was just a roleplay by some kid because of their height, however, if one saw their face closely, they would realize that these people are quite old.
Charles then arrived at the meeting room where all the hologram was.
"Greetings, commanders", Charles said as he saluted.
"At ease Captain, now tell us what happened", the old folks demanded.
Charles nodded and explained in detail.

"Aion, you there?", Ken spoke in his mind but no one answered.
"Why she always appears and disappears as she likes", Ken sighed.
He kept training to only use the flow instead of using the connection too. "Wow it's so exhausting, I will just end it here", he said as he stood up. On the ground in front of him, a bit of titanium and all kinds of metal pieces were lying, on his left side there are several puddles of different liquids that he created only using the flow.
"But what was that? Suddenly getting attacked.. ah whatever", he mumbled as he moved on to a cleaner place.
As he stretched his body, he heard the sound again, The sound that shot a rocket at him without any warning.
"speaking of the devil...", he gazed in the direction where the sound came from. He then connects himself to the surroundings and manipulates the air, but he didn't use the flow and as a result, he fell because of his lack of control.
"Ugh, that would've been cool.", He then flew again, feeling agitated because of his failed stunt.
The sound that was approaching Ken was indeed the dualcopter that was ridden by the old short man. When the old man recognized what was approaching him, he quickly reacted by activating the dualcopter's battle sequence.
A red flaming ring suddenly expanded from the dualcopter, approaching Ken that was flying at max speed.
"Whoa", Ken dodged the ring of fire that kept on expanding even after he dodged it. After only one second, another ring of fire approached him and caught him unprepared, slicing his leg because he couldn't react fast enough. Both his leg immediately started burning and before Ken could even process what he could do, another ring of fire approached him again, slicing his left hand, leaving him with only one limb.
The old man in the dualcopter saw this, but he had a solemn look on his head, "he got almost all his limbs cut and doesn't have a tinge of fear or worries, only panic. This guy... isn't normal.", he mumbled as he continued to control the dualcopter's fire consumption.
He then continued, "perhaps he had a regeneration power? No, I can't assume it, but seeing how he got no injuries despite receiving the full power of the rocket... it's highly possible".
The ring of fire kept slicing Ken's body bit by bit as he kept dodging, as long as his head remains intact he could still connect with the elements, this was something he tested when he was at that previous world's forest for a whole day.
As his body kept getting sliced, and as the burns also got stronger, his body quickly shrunk only his torso and head were still intact, making him more agile and eventually the ring of fire can't touch him anymore, that was when he started using another element because his focus can now be diverted.
He used water to put the flame off but no use, he then tried lowering the temperature but no use too. "What in hell is this flame, this defies the law of physics! At least as far as I know.. wait, I'm supposed to be immune to fire, right?", Ken thought.
A voice then spoke in his mind, "..... you sure are a troublemaker. By the way, That flame is a natural flame, a strong one at that, that dwarf must've used alchemy to make it, don't worry it won't burn you, but you couldn't regenerate."
"Then what should I do?", ken said as he kept dodging.
"Just destroy that thing or fly away", Aion suggested.
"Flee it is", Ken controlled the wind and propels him away from the dualcopter, a burning torso with a head on top of it went flying. He realized that his speed was so fast that even his body started to be torn apart, he quickly made a horizontal triangle wind barrier in front of him with the edge on the forefront. "Aerodynamics", he thought while he smirked.
"Humph, trying to run away from me?", The dwarf ceased the battle sequence and immediately sped up.
After several minutes, the dwarf looked around dumbfounded, "such frightening speed, even this sound speed dualcopter can't follow up...", the dwarf said as he couldn't catch up to Ken despite riding their fastest vehicle.
Meanwhile, a meteor-like torso with a head on top of it flew at incredible speed, entering a mountain range somewhere. Ken slowed down and tried to search for a lake, after he found it, he dove into it but only a second later all the water evaporated.
"Wow, how hot is this fire", Ken wondered and was impressed seeing the seemingly endless lake evaporate in an instant.
As his mind cleared, Ken looked around, and looked down at his flaming torso that kept blocking his vision with smoke, he then nodded and said, "that was quite the journey, just.. when will this be over", he sighed.
