On Friday, Oliver didn't go to school. He didn't mind the fact that they would probably inform his guardian. He felt so sick and tired and was having both an emotional and physical breakdown.
Jack had tried to cajole him to stay, saying his parents weren't in, and even if they were, they wouldn't mind. But he had refused to stay. He assured him that he was fine, and they had lighter conversations after that to make him feel better. Jack had also made him something to eat, and he completely forgot how food made him feel like throwing up until he tasted Jack's food, but he had to continue out of courtesy and because Jack was worried about him.
So now he was also down with a stomach ache. As he lay in bed, pale and sick, he looked through his account balance and wondered if it was a good idea to take out some of his savings and buy a good piano. If he was at the Mayor's place, he would have used Simon's. Now that he was here without any piano, he felt even worse.
